LeBron may get another scoring title but again his key running mates will have more shots than Durant’s. Shabbaz is an interesting choice and Melo could get a scoring title in the right circumstances. Often you need a dominant scorer lacking a 20ppg running mate but KD puts this theory on it’s head.

If you want a wildcard then could K-Love get above his 26ppg from last year especially as Rubio will improve and K-Love does not have franchise level scorers alongside him.

yea that is true but thats on lebron, hes such a gifted and willing passer if hes a bit more selfish he can easily get more scoring titles but he does whats best for his team (not to say kd doesnt because he does)

Kobe has one more good year left in him, but going foward it has to be Lebron, he can stil put up 30 a game, or close to it. And Kevin Love could be a threat as well, depending on how he continues to improve on his game.

Why hasn’t anyone said Blake griffin? He’s averaging 20 points off of dunks mainly, wait till he refined his postgame and fixed his jumper

You really pulled his name out of your rear.  The man is 26, his numbers have plateaued over the last 5 years, and he’s surrounded by several other capable scorers who he will be sharing the ball with for the long term.

There’s no reason to think Lebron doesn’t have several more MVP-caliber years in the tank.  Also, I think Andrew Bynum has an outside shot, depending on how big of a scoring role he will have now that he is the guy.  Kyrie Irving is very promising and could take off with a better supporting cast and time  to develop.  And for a real long shot, I think LaMarcus Aldridge is a guy who is still improving and is on the cusp of being one of the league’s elite Bigs.

This might seem a bit unexpected, especially for a PG but I could see Derrick Rose challenging him for a scoring title in the next few years. Obviously it remains to be seen how well Rose will come back from that injury, but Rose is the unquestioned alpha-dog of the Bulls, he is a go to scorer who can create his own shot and really nobody else on the Bulls can do that. In his prime I think Rose could approach 30 PPG while still averaging 7 APG.

I’ll say LeBron, Melo, DWade, Blake Griffin, Westbrook, Rose, and dont forget Kevin Love all could contend for KD’s crown.

With the scoring title you realistically have to look at guys who have the ability to put up 28ppg as a contender, you then have guys who can do it season after season lets say LeBron, KD etc, guys who have the game to do it and have done so on occasions lets say D-Wade and Melo, guys who have the potential to do it on occasions lets say K-Love, D-Rose and then guys who may have a peak season at that level for example Jerry Stackhouse.

Also a lot can depend what the scoring level will be each year, with teams concentrating talent, elite scorers such as Kobe getting elder you may not have many 30ppg season scoring leaders, so more players could come into the mix as opposed to  when Kobe carried the Lakers post Shaq pre Gasol and LeBron was the only real option for the Cavs. If the elite’s ppg tend to stabalise at around 27 to 28 ppg then you could maybe see a surprise scoring champion if a player or two has a really hot season.
