omphalosParticipantNo love for Harrison Barnes? I know his numbers haven’t been great, but he’s had a few great games and he’s already got some impressive highlights under his belt. He’s still producing on relatively few shots as they work their starters and vets into the team in preparation for the regular season, but he’s been good nevertheless.

F_S mocki saw him play a couple times, and he didn’t really "impress" me

JoeWolf1Jae Crowder looks to be finding a spot in Dallas’ rotation. He was in the starting lineup last night, I think he’ll probably get some minutes when the regular season starts.

SiggyParticipantCrowder looks like the ultimate glue guy. He’s got a great motor and smarts. I think he’ll be in rotation for sure.
Out of the guys not mentioned I’ve been impressed by Jonas Valanciunas.

F_S mockyea i saw that game where he went for like 20 points in 10 minutes vs. the rockets. he was being left open all the time though for some reason… regardless, it was impressive. his shot has range.
i was very high on jae crowder. i thought it was kinda crazy to not have him get him drafted.
and yea, jonas was pretty impressive as well.

MUbballfanParticipantI watched every game he played last year, being a Marquette fan, and I will say he has so many different skills and tools. Should have a long and successful career.

A Lil EnglishParticipantI have been impressed by these guys so far:
Bradley Beal – looks more mature than what I expected.Jonas Valanciunas – also looks more ready to contribute than I expected.Perry Jones – looking like he has a place in the 2nd unit already.Terrence Jones – has looked like he could be the best all round PF for the Rockets.Festus Ezeli – looks like he could send Biedrins back down the pecking order.I guess it could all change once the real games begin.0 - Posted on: Tue, 10/23/2012 - 10:38am #722795

Mr. 19134ParticipantI’m super excited to see my boy and hometown hero Maalik Waynes play so well. I’ve been saying since before the draft Wayns has a chance to be this year Isaiah Thomas because Wayns had 1st round talent but a subpar JR year took him off the radar. Waynes has the size, speed, and ball handling ability to excel in the league and his energy and defense are going to get him some minutes as an undrafted rookie.
Perry Jones looks good. He looks like a legit starting SF prospect right now for the Thunder and is once again off to a better start then Barnes.
Andre Drummond should of never fell any further then the Kings in the draft. Drafting Thomas Robinson over Drummond is going to look really really bad in a few years.
Speaking of Thomas Robinson I said during the draft I didn’t think he was a great fit in Sacramento because him and Cousins take too many jumpers and thus far Robinson is throwing up brick after brick in the preseason.
Tony Wroten should of been drafted over Kendell Marshall whose got bust written all over him.
Brad Beal has surprised me a little bit we all knew his game was mature but wow.

cole10ParticipantDequan Jones out of miami went undrafted which i dont think really suprised anyone as he never managed to get regular playing time in miami and didnt put up numbers that wowed anyone. He has impressed me in the preseason putting up solid numbers which i dont think anyone saw. He’s a freak athlete, with great size for the wing and has great defensive potential with his length, needs to work on his jumper and ball handling a bit more. Once orlando get AA back fit and healthy his minutes will take a real hit and maybe best served spending some time in the d-league but ive been impressed.
