    Former Memphis Tiger swingman Wesley Witherspoon Tweeted on his Twitter page late tuesday night, that he has received a training camp invite from the San Antonio Spurs..Witherspoon played for the Knicks summer league team averaging 8 pts/2 rbs..And was much more aggressive attacking the basket ,something he didnt do at Memphis….

    I’m happy to hear that he will get a shot at making a nba roster……

    I always thought this guy had tons of talent and really i thought when i first saw him he would be a lottery pick one day.  Well that obviously didn’t happen, as he had attitude issues, and also just never found his niche at memphis.  But with that being said he was also a very versatile player who played pg, sg, sf, and pf at memphis.  In the League he will mainly be a 3, but could probably defend some 2’s and a few 4’s.  Hope he makes it.

    If he had Will Barton’s Heart,he would’ve been a Lottery pick..He really regressed after his sophomore year….

    Alot of people said he was the best player on the Knicks Summer League team…Walt Frazier compared him to Penny Hardaway..I see him more as a Todd Day type….I see him spending most of the year in the D-League if he does make a roster….
