220ParticipantThe Bobcats are the team right now that makes it harder to predict even the top five. There have been talks that they’re interested in Drummond, Robinson, MKG, and Barnes. The Bobcats hold a lot of draft futures (for other NBA teams and us mock drafters) in their hands based on their decision.
So what do you think the Bobcats should do and what they will do?
Personally it seems to me that they’re not too enamored with the pick so they should see who else in the top 5 are enamored with a guy they only believe they can get with the 2nd pick and make a deal to move down. Maybe for two picks or maybe a pick and a player. That’s what I think they should do.
It seems to me personally that they will either pick Thomas Robinson or Harrison Barnes.

bball23djnParticipantI think the Bobcats should try to move down to the 4-5-6 spot. Then they should select Drummond, Beal, Barnes or MKG… one should be there.
I like MKG but dont think hes a great fit, they need a go to elite scorer to get people excited- Barnes or Beal.
The worst pick would be T-Rob at #2 in my opinion.
In the end I think they will end up taking MKG at 2.

crows2ParticipantWhat they should do – Pick Kidd-Gilchrist. They need positvity and a winning mentality before all else. Someone with MKG’s attributes and mentality will nearly always succeed in the NBA.
What they will do – Pick Robinson. I think they’ll try and trade it but no one will bite. They’ll pick between Robinson and Barnes and go with the more proven man.

theballerwayParticipantWalker will be able to get him good looks (when he ‘gets’ the NBA game) thats a decent start. Kemba, Barnes and eventaual def specialist in Bismack
Goos start on the Long Journey to competitiveness. Obviously theyll be in tehe lotto again next year but like i said a start. Get adecent center at some point and a primetrime scorer and voila lol- sounds so simple

rhamnlacsonParticipantdo what okc did same formula and hopefully same results rely on picking good draft picks get a face of thye franchise and supporting cast in the draft and just make them stay in your franchise they already had stephen jackson,ty chandler, felton and once a kobe bryant they should have kept those players and just made thier team a stronger team they are on th right track right now getting kemba and biyombo as role players and now they need a face of gthe franchise and if they could get another top 3 lottery pick next year it would be nice for the teams make up if they could mentain those players and not settle on bogus trades

mj23mj23besteverParticipanti still want them too trade the pick too get more bodies but if they keep it id take barnes hes a gonna be a solid pro and can flat out score which is exactly what the bobcats need

2quick4uParticipantI think it’s gonna be harrison barnes at Nº 2. he is what they need and I really believe he can become a paul pierce type of player.

rhamnlacsonParticipantif they decide on drummond i think they would look to have another top lottery pick again for next year since drummond is still a project and they might look at taking shabazz muhammad for next year they should really try to keep thier picks instead of trading them for bogus trades like what they did before

220ParticipantIf Harrison Barnes turns out to be a Paul Pierece type of player then that would by far be Michael Jordan’s best draft pick ever.

HeelsGuy25ParticipantI haver a gut feeling that Beal will go #2. it seems the top 5 teams all love Beal so MJ might feel pressured to nab him. I love Barnes, being a UNC guy myself, but I think Beal may have a bit more buzz around him. MJ needs to do something reght, for once ha I wouldnt be unhappy if Barnes went #2 though.

220ParticipantI can’t wait for the draft. The Bobcats decision will be the first exciting part of the draft. I really wonder what the Bobcats decide to do.

Loyalty33ParticipantI think if the Bobcats can get a trade with the portland trailblazers for picks 6 and 11 they should draft Drummond and lamb.
If they can’t I’ll take Drummond or Lamb.
I think Kemba is a winner and he can bring out the best in drummond and lamb

HeelsGuy25ParticipantI dont think picking Lamb at 11 would be smart. They could go for a PG and nab Marhall if he is there. I just don’t see Charlotte trading this pick though.

220ParticipantI think trading the number 2 pick for 6 and 11 would be great for the Bobcats, but I doubt Portland would do it. They would need something else back from them. They’d probably want Kemba Walker of Bismack Biyombo as well so I doubt that happens.
They probably have a better shot at 4 and 24 from the Cavs for number 2 or 7 and 30 from the Warriors. The Cavs might do it, but I think they are content knowing they’ll likely get either Barnes or Beal. I think the Warriors would be excited to make the deal, but I don’t think the Bobcats would be too interested in moving all the way down to number 7.

Doug25ParticipantI have seen some people say that the Bobcats need to draft Drummond, because he won’t help them win right away, and they can get another high pick next year. The bobcats are so bad, no matter who they pick, they will still get a high lotto pick next year. I think they go for a scorer, Barnes or TRob at the 2 spot.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/20/2012 - 6:24am #684480
luca5429ParticipantThey should try and move down, stay in the top 10 and add a future1 with limited protection. They aren’t going anywhere fast.
What they will do (as most teams would do) is stand pat and most likely take a big, and my guess is Robinson.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/20/2012 - 6:25am #684481
Memphis MadnessParticipantThey should take either Barnes or MKG and then hope they can get Zeller of McAdoo (or even Noel ) next year. Shabazz Mohammed would also fit at the 2 guard slot.
They could also trade the pick too. But I think their best bet is to get a small forward.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/20/2012 - 7:30am #684525
Loyalty33ParticipantIf the bobcats do not trade the pick, I think they should just take Andre Drummond because They’re not going to
compete for the playoffs next year no matter who they draft. I think with Drummonds potential it’s worth taking the
risk. Hire a great low post/offensive skill coach to work with him on his offensive game and his free throw shooting
like the Lakers did with Andre Bynum. The coach the Bobcats just hired is known for developing players.
