Is there any chance either Rivers or Waiters can fall to Phoenix at 13?

Is there a chance? Yes

 I feel like waiters is a reach for the lottery. I dont know why all of a sudden hes shot up the draft boards.

 Last I heard CBS Sports was reporting that Waiters had a promise from Phoenix, hence why he shut down the rest of his workouts

They both could or at least one still be available depending on what BS or rumours your want to believe about their so called promises.  Last week’s BS had most ppl believing Waiters was going to toronto at 8….. I am sure there will be a few more rumours before the actual draft….

The thing we learn about the draft every year is to expect the unexpected….

 Agreed that Rivers is falling. The NBA teams don’t necessarily follow the advanced basketball stat community in their drafting. They certainly look at different things than the stat guys (especially height, it is very important to NBA scouts that a player be the right height). But the number crunching is part of the process. A lot of teams are doing very sophisticated number crunching with systems that are not available to the public. And Rivers is getting HAMMERED when folks run his numbers. From a production standpoint, he was worse than the average college shooting guard (comparisons made to the top 100 SG in college). He shot a lower percentage no matter how you slice and dice it (FG%, 3P%, FT%, TS%, etc.) He scored less points per game than average. He rebounded and stole the ball less than average. He turned it over more often than he got assists. He basically never blocked shots which is just strange considering he is tall and long. 

He just looks dismall in the boxscore. So if you are drafting, then you are hoping he gets his shooting percentages up and he learns to contribute in other ways by, for example, setting up his teammates. And he is young and he has good size that could gain muscle and maintain his quickness. So I don’t think he is a finished product. However, you also have to think that he has gotten access to the FINEST coaching his entire life. So maybe we should consider him pretty much a finished product.
