Bucks-Jennings and Sanders for picks 6&11

Bucks GM should be fired for thinking about that. Jennings is and will be better than who ever goes at either pick.

Hmmmm Lets see Jennings who is only 22 (three years from start of his prime) is putting up 19ppg and 6ast at a position that is stacked …yeah lets trade him for a pick later in the draft where the percentages say neither player will be as good seperate or combined

Awful for the Blazers. I’m not a Jennings fan and Sanders doesn’t really have a any value.

Jennings has mucho talent but he is a knucklehead. I don’t think the bucks will ever win consistently with him at the PG. He is a good young PG but I could name almost 10 PGs I would rather have that are around his age. I would not make that deal if I am Portland as I dont see Jennings fitting any better with Aldridge who wants to play at a slower pace for the most part.

How is he a kuckle head?  How often does he get in trouble? Why can’t they win consistantly with him….you need a team to win and he obviously doesn’t have that. He didnt have the pleasure of being in the perfect situation liek a Rose (team was a playoff team before him) or a Westbrook (Durant and then got Harden).  As a matter of fact when the team was healthy he helped lead them to the playoffs!!!! Can’t balme a player for bad management or injuries just like Kyrie Irving,Wall,Rubio,Curry can’t be to blame if their team keeps losing with not much help. Jennings has gotten better every year and you put him on a team with players and he would be even better. Not sure where you got Lamarcus wants to play at a slower pace when he has said more than once he likes playing up and down basketball

Why is it unlikely? Players have shown (Durant, Westbrook,Love) that they don’t mind staying in a market that isn’t New york. Actually it seems as thought the percentages are in favor of players staying instead of going to big market unless its a super team up

Are guys who stayed on rookie contracts that would have made them restricted free agents, Quincey. Jennings is likely to sign an extension for the same reasons, just do not expect him to be there afterwards. I agree that he will more than likely be far better than any PG in this draft, but to say that he may not eventually leave seems like a gamble. You do not have to trade him, there just is little evidence that Brandon Jennings will stay in Milwaukee any longer than he has to.

 That it’s most likely Jennings leaves is because he practically said he wants to already. And the bucks need to get something for him. And if the bucks can get the 6th and 11th, I dot see anything wrong with that knowing you’re gna draft players who have upside and who knows, Drummond could fall to them at 6 or maybe even Harrison Barnes. Then they could draft PJ3 AND sullinger with their 13th pick

 I’d rather take my chances with 6 & 11 than have Jennings

 as mentioned b jennings may leave so the for the bucks it make sense too trade him and for the blazers they are in dire needs of a legit starting pg and b jennings is exaclty that he played excellent ball for the bucks last year showing signs of maturity along the way add him too la and batum and its nice very nice for the  blazers

I’ll go out on a small Limb and say Perry nor Drummond will ever put up 20ppg ala Jennings. Low motor guys don’t just all of a sudden become high motor guys. Drummond will most likely end up a Deandre Jordan type with less motor and Perry ends up a good role player. I know fans and some scouts are sooooo in love with his physical abilities but liek i said guys with their motors don’t just do a 180. They get to the NBA and work hard (well whatever they consider hard) for their rookie and even 2nd thrid year then they get comfortable and start to slack off and end up happy just getting by on their god given talent.

Jennings is a knucklehead on the court not off. He has poor shot selection and is a below average finisher around the basket. He doesn’t get to the foul line and he isn’t the greatest at setting up his teammates. I just don’t see him as the type of PG that wins a championship. He finally shot over 40% this season for the first time. His 3 point shot has not improved at all over his first 3 years in the league. He has been shooting more of them but still making them at the same rate around 33%. He does not have great talent around him on the Bucks but Bogut was a top 5 center and Ilyasova came into his own this last year. Now that they have Monta Ellis another volume shooter who is nothing special on defense this team is all but doomed.

The last two you could aruge but I chose both of them because they are better passers, defenders and more efficent players. The first 7 ahead of him I think are no-brainers. I just don’t see him winning a title ahead of all these other great PGs without tons of help…like Lebron type of help.

Andre Drummond will give you 12-18 ppg, 9-12 rpg, 1-2 bpg, force in the middle.

Jennings is good, and scores, but not what I want from a PG, not much of a play maker for teammates. With Jennings as your PG you’re never going to very far.

Im a huge bucks fan and I say do it… You have Ellis who can play the point… Your needs are a bigger guard and a true center… At 6 you take Drummond, at 11 you take Rivers and at 12 you take Perry Jones… In 2 to 3 years you have a lineup of Ellis, Rivers, Harris, Jones and Drummond…

Have seen it made over and over, simply do not think that is always the case. I am not saying that Perry Jones or Andre Drummond will average 20 ppg, they still do not necessarily have to for a major impact. Still, guys like DeMarcus Cousins and Greg Monroe had "questionable motors" and ended up being alright. I am still not convinced that Derrick Favors will not become a very solid player.

It is funny to me that "motor" tends to be something talked about when one is a prospect as opposed to when one gets drafted. I feel that these guys are professionals with an incentive to make huge money playing basketball. If they have an issue, it is usually skill driven or based on a lack of court sense as opposed to not trying as hard as the next person.

"Low motor" players seem to not really exist to me in the NBA. If they do, they are certainly difficult to distinguish. The NBA tends to be a go hard or go home type league, one that players tend to go out hard for. Whatever issues Drummond and Jones may have could be effort driven, I just do not feel that this means they will not play with "high motor" in the NBA. If they do not score 20 ppg, it will be due to things besides their "motor". That is at least what I believe.

Thats because you’re not looking at it int he right context. when someone says low motor they don’t mean it to include every person in the world, its low motor compared to the other NBA players. Like when someone says " that NBA player is a bum"  He’s not really a bum but he is a bum compared to his peers. Monroe nor Cousins were ever considered to have the Perry Jones or Drummond low motors. Monroe was said to be a finesse player not so much motor and Cousins was just considered lazy (different from low motor) but not abnormally lazy (hence his first team AA). The motor issue with Drummond and Jones was actually brought up when they were young which is another reason why i said in another topic that you can see it even when players are young and it tends to not change. There are a few cases where a player transformed but i can’t think of any off the top of my head.

And the motor doesn’t just effect the game. If someone is consdiered a player with a low motor in games how do you think they do during the offseason when they have to work on their games ( which is harder to get amped for than actually playing in games). Those players tend to not work as hard. They do stick in the NBA though because they have that God given talent that keeps teams trying to get the player to play to their potential

Motor is more of a football term in my opinion. It has only been applied to hoops in recent memory and is hard to define in my opinion. Does it mean effort or stamina? Does it mean work ethic? I don’t really know. When I think of a non-stop motor I think of Jared Allen chasing quarterbacks not Lebron chasing loose balls.

But apparently both want to fight about why their side should be the one to turn it down… probablly means its close to a fair deal…

I could see Jennings for the 6… for 6 and 11 is overkill.  I actually like Lillard more than Jennings, though I see the arguement both ways.

6 and 11 could turn into Andre Drummond and Kendall Marshall who i would rather have then Jennings and Sanders. not saying their taking marshall 11th but just to show what those picks net
