valentinei honestly think bobcats should just try to get the hornets 10 pick or blazers 11 pick and trade dj and maggette or henderson a future draft pick and money whatever works! draft HARRISON BARNES because he has everything you looking for from a foward he can score rebound creates opportunities for teammates andnot affraid 2 play defense he a better version of luol deng he can be easy 18 and 6 foward for the first year. then with the 10 or 11 pick get AUSTIN RIVERS i no it sounds crazy but this kid is good and has a killer crossover plus he been playing against nba caliber players all his life. he looks like a franchise player if the bobcats can get him he can give them atleast16 points 4 rebounds and 4 assists a game for his first year. the with the first pick in the second they should draft draymDRAYMOND GREEN (brandon bass, dejuan bliaror glenndavis)type player he an undersize foward he still can get rebounds he was good player for michigan st he can come of the bench and give game changing plays and work really hard to win.. FREEAGENCY build around harrision and rivers get a good quailty center or power foward that just want rebounds and love to play d byron mullens could play center or foward and he good because he can shoot he can cause alot of problems for centers and fowards in the league.i would test out greg oden buts it too risky but you never know. that what my bobcats needs to do but watch jordan gonna mess it up for us

Tight ButtholeParticipantHow are the Bobcats going to get that 10 or 11 pick again? Maggette wouldnt garner much interest for 11mill that hes owed next year from either team. Theres no point in trading a lottery pick for a terrible, expiring contract. Youre basically buying a player that will hardly play and losing out on a potential starter from the lottery. And Henderson stats are a product of being on a gargabe team with no one else able to score.

dolla33henderson still gud and can be a good role player to provide points off abench on any team and dj is a good point guard i didnt no maggette was worth 11 mill but they should amesty him. offer hornets dj and henderson future draft picks and money for the 10 or 11 pick

nick5354ParticipantThe problem is I am finding it difficult to place a value on DJ. I am not quite sure what he is worth. He is still young at 24 . What do you think he is worth?

akhan786ParticipantIf you actually watch the games Henderson is a pretty legit player. No question he was the best player on the team.
I know that’s not saying much but he could definitely be a 18 ppg scorer on a playoff team.
He’s an exciting athlete, has good character, and has improved his shooting considerably. For his sake, I hope he goes far away from Charlotte once his contract is up.

mrwehbeParticipanthow about trade to get a real superstar for once. i don’t know how people think you want to trade for more rookies! and then your starting lineup is 3 rookies and 2 sophomores! and then end up the season winless and then enter 2013 lottery and get the 4th pick. that just pathetic. if the bobcats wants to improve they should get a superstar now (which is impossible via free agency bcs no superstar will ever sign with this bobcats).

magette + thomas + 2nd pick For amare + 2013 1rst pick (knicks)
and don’t tell me amare is finished, the only thing that hurted amare in NY was the trade for melo. if he goes to charlotte he’ll be the go too guy again and will give you 20 and 10 every night.
add to this the knicks 2013 pick thrown in the deal will give insurance for next year draft (two 1rst round picks ).
i appreciate some feedback!

mrwehbeParticipantSmall correction i just did a research a found that knicks can’t trade their 2013 1rst round pick bcs they’ve traded their 2014 th to houston so instead of 2013 1rst pick the knicks can add fields + 2nd round

usfballerParticipantIf the Bobcats aren’t sure MKG can be a franchise cornerstone, then they need to try and trade the number 2 for 6 and 11 with the blazers. Not sure what else blazers would want in return, but they don’t need two rookies if they are serious about making the playoffs next year.
The Cats could then take Barnes or Sullinger at 6 and PJ3(if available) or one of the Terrence’s (Ross or Jones). Ideally you land Barnes an PJ3; starting 3 for the next decade and a player who could play a Lakers-Lamar-Odom role and both mesh well with the only potential keeper piece the cats have (biyombo, Henderson, DJ). If PJ3 is gone, T. Jones could excell in a similar role. If both Barnes and PJ3 are off the board, then Sully could be a nice front court partner with Biyombo and Ross could help spread the floor for everyone

dolla33harrision barnes and austin rivers would be a better pair i live in charlotte and go to majority of the games! we cant score we have underrated defense but the main reason is we cant score and rivers and harrision in my opinion the best scoring options in the draft… they can bring the bobcats to a 20-62 season next year and then draft a center of powerfoward next year! the AMARE TRADE WAS THE DUMMEST THING YOU CAN SAY we dont want a old man who cant play defense and is out his prime he not a superstar but rivers and barnes can be i rather have young players that i know i will get a good 7 years out of than a 28 year with bad back and eye problems get real
