    http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba–hornets–lottery-win-won-t-impact-eric-gordon-s-decision-to-test-free-agency.html

Even with the Hornets winning the lottery, Eric Gordon still plans on testing free-agency.

I think he likes Monty Williams and is trying to say the right things, but it’s clear he doesn’t really want to return to New Orleans.

IF you’re the Hornets, what do you do? Do you match any offer he gets or sign and trade him?

That Granger for Gordon deal doesn’t so bad after all hearing this LOL. Plus, this gives the Hornets time to focus on who they select at #10 in the draft.

Is the Pacers really the frontrunners for his services?

What teams does everybody predict will slide in and have a legitimate chance at him?

You can cross the Pacers off of the list. Bird has said that the Pacers won’t attempt to sign Gordon due to the fact it’s not their style to go after restricted free-agents.

But the teams that are interested are the Suns, Blazers, Mavs and Cavs.

Get some team to take on Ariza’s contract in a sign and trade, and the Granger swap seems viable, but this si a tough situation for NO.

trade him, if you are starting a team from scratch, you dont want to have any max players. He has trade value since he is a RFA. Teams will want him

Of the 4 teams interested, only the Cavs and Blazers have nice drafts picks to offer. This is likely going to be a pain for the Hornets.

Quick question, what if New Orleans offered the 10th pick and Gordon for Hibbert in a sign and trade deal? Is there any chance the Pacers would even consider that deal?

I wonder what New Orleans can get from Okafor.

New Orleans has to sign him. They will match any offers and will entertain offers for him. They can’t just let him walk though. He was the main piece in the CP3 trade. Larry Bird saying they won’t offer him because he is a RFA is dumb, IMO. You have to pursue him because they could really use him. And granger for Gordon isn’t a fair trade. I think Gordon has more value. There would have to be more pieces.

Maybe a sign and trade with Houston for Kyle Lowry the 14th or 16 pick and throw in a Scola or Dalembert to help match salaries with  Gordon new contract.

the wizards should go after him expecally  if they draft MKG.

One thing I hope this doesn’t come to, but if Gordon realizes that the Hornets will match any offer he could prossibly recieve, and he is dead driven on leaving New Orleans, than it’s possible he might sign the equalifying offer and become a UFA next season.

IF the Hornets don’t sign and trade him, that’s honestly what I see ending up happening.

This will be somewhat similar to Deron Williams with the Nets.

if Eric Gordon would do a sign and trade anywhere. It seems he is pretty intent on free agency, it would be nice if he just gave them a list of preferred teams.

If he was willing to go just about anywhere other than the Hornets, then I could see a few deals that might be worth looking into for the Hornets. Which one does everyone think would be most realistic though? I think there will be quite a few teams interested. I could see decent deals being tabled by Wash, Phi, Sac, Hou, S.A., Tor, Utah, Bos, Minn, Chi. Who wouldn’t be interested in young athletic SG capable of avg 20pts?

I don’t see Granger (big contract, age) fitting into what they are building in New Orleans. They are going to get better offers.

This would be funny but Eric Gordon to Bobcats for #2 pick?

It’s a pain watching the Sixers go through 5-8 minute droughts on the offensive end. The fact that we won 7 games these playoffs while only getting 86 points per game is amazing, yet kind of depressing. Eric Gordon would be a gift delivered from the heavens on this team! I know it’s unlikely but it’s wishful thinking. C’mon PHILLY! Make a move we got pieces to offer. Hell, I would even take back Ariza’s contract if it meant getting EG.

Iggy OR Turner + Lou Will OR Brand’s expiring  for EG and Ariza? That way, we know we’ve addressed our problem at the 2guard, have some defensive help off the bench and can use the 15 pick for the best forward/center available. (Sullinger, PJ III, Henson, etc)

not sure why he’d want to leave, NOLA will be on the rise with him and Davis and another lotto pick and a good coach, but his career his choice.

With the way Eric Gordon’s injuries have gone I really hope the Hornets don’t sign him for a huge 5 yr contract. He could cripple them (or any team) with his run of injuries….

Who ever signs him might be sorry with his injury history.
