With the sixth pick of the draft Portland should take Andre Drummond but if he is not there definetly Harrison Barnes.

With their next pick of the draft it depends on who they picked first:

    1. If they picked Drummoned they should go with Terrence Ross or Perry Jones

    2. If they pick Barnes go with Zeller

Drummond can learn the outside game from LA and be very dominant all around

And having Harrison and Zeller together will be great after 2 years of being withh each other I think they could mesh great but an exception is Barnes wouldn’t do that great without a very good point gaurd.

I doubt either Drummond or barns will still be available at 6, I’d go with Beal (underated player who is still improving and has awesome offense) and then with their next pick roll the dice with sullinger another player who is underated and  has great upside at both ends of the court.

I agree with your logic mostly. I think they should try to get at least one center in this draft, and there are a couple in their range. Considering they released Greg Oden who never worked out, and also traded away Marcus Camby, this team lacks a starter quality center to play beside Lamarcus Aldridge. They only have Joel Pryzbilla and Kurt Thomas, neither of whom are starters at this stage in their careers. They could use their big man of the future.

The other pick should be used to grab a guard, preferably a PG but a SG would work too. I’ve heard they are looking for another star guard and were interested in Beal. I think they have a few options to fill both of these needs because they have two lottery picks, and then back to back picks in the second round.

Heres my list of what I think the Portland Trailblazers big board should look like

    The 6th pick:

    1. Andre Drummond – Best case scenerio, if he lived up to his potential, a frontcourt of him + Aldridge would be scary for years. They should hope that he falls this far, which is unlikely but not impossible, some mocks have him here

    2. Bradley Beal/Harrison Barnes – Both of these guys are consider to be 2 of the 5 players who should be drafted after Davis (the others being Drummond, MKG & T-Rob). Beal would be the more ideal of the two, and best case scenerio he could help fill the void Brandon Roy left, or at least part of it. If not, then adding him would still give them the flexibility to trade Jamal Crawford away and have 2 starter-caliber SG’s, one of who could bring instant scoring off the bench. Harrison Barnes could do the same thing playing behind Nicolas Batum, and while he doesn’t fit a need, picking him would likely be more of a "best player available" type pick if the other guys on the list were unavailable, and they could potentially look to move him if they really needed.

    3. Damian Lillard – The nbadraft.net mock has him 6th, and he’d certainly fill their need of a PG to replace Raymond Felton. He is a slight reach here but, if neither Beal nor Drummond are available at this point, I think they should consider it.

The 11th pick (this one depends a little bit on what they did with their last pick)

    If they picked Drummond:

    1. Damian Lillard/Kendall Marshall – I think this would be the best draft for the Blazers if they could fill their two biggest holes with quality talent. Both of these guys COULD be available here and if Drummond if taken 6th by the Blazers, I think at least one of them will be.

    2. Jeremy Lamb/Austin Rivers/Terrence Ross – Again, this team is looking for a star guard. I don’t think Lamb will be available at this point, but those other two could and likely will be.

    If they picked Lillard/Beal/Barnes:

    1. Tyler Zeller – If they got a perimeter scorer with their first pick, they should look for the true C to compliment Aldridge with their second. Zeller would provide stability at the position and be a realiable yet not spectacular player. He could start right away because he’s one of the more polished yet low ceiling guys coming out of this draft and could still make a pretty good frontcourt with Aldridge, becaue he’d never need to become a star anyways since Aldridge is already an all star level post talent.

    2. Meyers Leonard/Perry Jones – Leonard would need some time to develop, but if he lived up to his potential, could be their C of the future and play alongside Aldridge. He’s a bit of a reach/project at this point. Perry Jones could also fit in at a versitile foward and best player available type pick because of his high upside. At this point in the draft, it wouldn’t be as risky to take him, and he’d likely play behind Batum/Aldridge and wouldn’t be pressued to produce big time right away and could ease into things. Also, with another pick coming before him, there would be a little less pressure on him to become the future of the franchise or something.

In my mock, I have Davis, Barnes, Drummond, MKG, and Robinson going top 5 for sure. After that it gets a little tricky. Portland could use a PG or a C, but I don’t see Lillard, Marshall, Leonard, or Zeller going at #6. I think they would go BPA with Beal if they keep the pick.

As for #11, I have them selecting Lillard. Marshall, Leonard, and Zeller are still options, but I think Lillard is their best option.

But, personally, I think they best choice for Portland would be to trade the #6 pick to Boston for their two first round picks and a PF or C. That would give Portland the #11, #21, and #22 picks in a deep draft. While, Beal would be nice, I think Portland would be better off with the #21, #22 picks, and maybe JaJuan Johnson or Brandon Bass.

I have the exact same scenario happening in my mock. Beal at 6, Lillard at 11.

I think while it’s true they could use a center, but where Portland is picking the best value would be Beal and Lillard. I also think they need a PG more than a C, Felton was pretty disappointing this year. If neither Lillard or Marshall are there at 11, then I can see them turning their attention to one of; Leonard, Zellers, Melo at C.

Take whoever is left of MKG , Beal , Drummond , Barnes , and Robinson at 6 , that will be a no pressure pick. Then at 11 take either Lillard or Marshall whoever you feel fits your need for a PG better or which ever one is still available.

Portland has a good chance to address some of its major weaknesses. With Jamal Crawford being a dud for them and the power forward position heavy, I think they need to go for either a point guard or sg at 6. Damian Lillard would fit nicely but Beal is the overall better player. Depending on how they deal with Wes Matthews id say Beal could be there future star and a strong guard scoring presence.

At 11 they have the option to be a bit more risky. While he’s risk, I think Perry Jones is a potentially good pick. Though he’s listed as a pf, I think he could play far better as a sf. Given Portlands rebuilding status, what better time is there to hone the skills of your young guys.

    6:Beal

    11: Jones III

i’m sure the first 4 players taken in the draft will be Davis, Barnes, MKG, and Robinson then i belive Sacramento will take Drummond, after that there is significant decrease in value of prospects so Portland in quite fucked situation, if they are smart they will combine their two lottery picks and make a trade, for example with Charlote: #6 + #11 for #2, #31 and maybe also D.J. Augustin, and than they would draft Andre Drummond.
