UNCbasketballbumParticipantWe all know that the Celtics have championship heart. This is most likely the last run for Pierce, Garnett and Ray Allen. Heart alone most likely isn’t enough to slow down Wade and Lebron. What are the keys for the Celtics against the Heat and can they pull off the upset?

CameronParticipantThey have to make shots and expose Miami inside. I know it sounds simple but that’s really the answer. Especially Allen and PP, those guys have to score effectively from the perimeter, meanwhile KG needs to abuse Miami on the interior. Defensively, if they can frustrate LBJ and Wade and make them into jumpshooters then they have a chance to steal a couple games. Best case scenario (for Boston) I say Miami in 6.

omphalosParticipantIf Bradley were healthy I’d have given us an outside chance, but Allen was struggling to keep the Sixers guards out of the paint so Wade is going to absolutely dominate. Sad to say, but barring Bosh missing this entire series I can’t see any situation the Celtics will be able to win.
It doesn’t really matter though, whoever wins the West has got the ring regardless.

KayjayParticipantI see the Heat winning in 5, but I’m reserving judgement based on what I will see tonight.
For Celtics to win, just like its been said they would have to abuse the inside. Sadly thats easier said then done, after all the Celtics are a jumpshooting team. Its likely that the Heat are bound to draw numerous charges if you attempt to pound the inside. Not only that, but Heats defense depends on quick hands and feet to slide over and protect the rim. This makes them vulnerable to outside shooting. So perimeter play is also a key factor the Celtics to win.
All in all the margin for error is incredibly small for the Celtics, they are missing their key bench player. Allen’s ankles are effecting his shot, and pierce is even slower now because of the sprained in his knee. Celtics will have to execute and somehow make them pay for leaving 3 point shooters wide open. Rondo is a huge factor too, but he’s going to have to be consistent from the outside.

NYK2010ParticipantTurn back the clock to 2008 and they’ll beat Miami.
If Bosh doesn’t play they have a much better chance but KG and Rondo have to dominate.
By that I mean Rondo has to score, shoot well from the perimeter and avg. close to a triple double.
KG well has to play like he’s 30 and own the paint, rebound and be an intimidator inside.
Would help if Lebron or Wade were in foul trouble but thats doubtful.
Loss of Bradley really hurts here, Pietrus gonna have to play great D in this series

mgreener_34ParticipantCeltics need to do what the Thunder did to the Spurs in the first half of last nights game. Stay infront of your man, and run out on three point shooters. If they don’t it will most likely be like second half of the Thunder/Spurs game.
It’s really sad that Bradly and Allen are ineffective because this series could have been very good either way.

mosdefParticipantthe team needs to get nasty.
Boston really lack a bench. KG has to put up numbers. The glaring problem is who guards Wade. Allen is on fumes. Would you guard Rondo on Wade? I think thats their best shot while Allen defends Chalmers
