OldSkoolBasketballParticipantIs that the only thing keeping him from signing with a team or is he just a scrub now?

cuseflynn10ParticipantMoney.
Didn’t he go bankrupt? I’m sure a nice NBA contract could fix that pretty quickly. I would assume he’d take almost any offer at this point, whether it’s in the NBA or overseas.

benny15Participantthink i read an article on yahoo or somewhere that one of the people looking out for iverson actually put aside 30 million on a bank account that he doesnt have access to till he’s 50 something. it also gives him 1 million a year that comes from the interest. so he’s really far from bankrupt, him trying to get back in the NBA is probably his competitive side getting the best of him.

Seamo15ParticipantId love to see him back. Do you know if he’s garnering any interest?

Malik-UniversalParticipantwell he did they during that interview with lisa salters (not gnna lie but i was lookin at her boobies the whole time not iverson) he said that the nba is probably unlikely……. he just needs to accept the fact that hes not starting material anymore and try to win a ring with someone (in the nba)
and i dont think hes a scrub….

frogmanParticipantDidn’t he say all the right things like this when Memphis picked him up? Then as soon as he landed on the team he started saying that no former MVP comes off the bench, no former scoring champ comes off the bench, why should I etc. etc. His ego is too big to accept a small role and I can’t think of any team that would benefit from having him, he would either stunt the development of a young, upcoming team or be a headache for a contending team when he doesnt’t see much floor time.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantremember he’s been out a long time and hasn’t had the wear and tear to deal with, If he were willing to be a team’s 6th man or Instant offense guy then I don’t know why some one wouldn’t take a chance on him, It ws great to see him walk out on the Sixers floor again…
I honestly just want AI to retire a Sixer so we can hang up his # 3 Jersey, he will be one of the guys I never forget as long as I live, even though he hurt us more than he help us sometimes, he’s still my favorite Sixer next to Dr. J

M-DYMESParticipantI just wanna say…seeing A.I. in Philly (albeit all I got 2 see was the highlights b/c of work) got me real emotional. It was beautiful to see him there. Im telling you I have never seen a player beloved by a city as much as A.I. is in Philly. Greatest player/city relationship in all of sports, ever. I know it was eating away at him that he’s not on the court helping our squad out. I think that was a huge emotional boost to the team and arena to see him there.

Jlv2012likely to come off his sideline seat probably to grab some food at the concession stands.

ilike.panochasParticipantIf he was willing to come off the bench, he could have extended his career and could have been a Jason Terry type of combo guard off the bench. But sometimes pride gets in the way.

Winning_TimeParticipantI would love for him to comeback, I’m always loving comeback stories and I dont think TMac or Gilbert Arenas are about to pull one off anytime soon.

omphalosParticipantI couldn’t help but notice he was being very careful with his comments on Kevin Garnett’s recent statements, you could tell he didn’t want to rock the boat with any franchise that might take a chance on him. I’d say he’d do whatever it takes to get back in the NBA, and Boston was rumoured to have an interest in him during the season.
Not sure if showing humility is enough at this point, but hopefully he stays fit, stays ready and accepts whatever they offer him, the same way T-Mac is keeping his career alive.

For_Never_EverParticipantSeeing him at such a important game for the 76ers was great for the players and fans. I don’t think someone that has made as much money as him has any money problem he isn’t MC Hammer. He could come off the bench and be good, but he as at a age that he could knows it’s time to call it in. No shame in finally stopping while you done so much and still have a little left in the tank.

omphalosParticipant@Kakashi; I think it just comes down to Iverson wanting to go out on his own terms. He was robbed of that opportunity, and I think that’s just left a sour taste in his mouth.

rhamnlacsonParticipantits kinda like saying iverson would not be an allstar starting 5 again if he ever comes back to the nba its knda unlikely the guys ego would get the best of him

M-EazyParticipantBeen watching Chuck play ball forever. I’m talking about when he was balling with my step brother in rec league at Aberdeen and then high school at Bethel. I know dude will not take a position on the bench and be happy enough to give a team his all as a reserve. He’s always been the star from day 1 no matter what sport it was. I would love to see him play the backup PG role on a team like OKC or Miami, but it will start off good but end very bad.
With that said "Bring Bubba Chuck Back"
