Here are my personal things i want to know:

    Athlecism.

    Jared Sullinger

Harrison Barnes: He may be more athletic than he seems to be.

    Kendall Marshall: Overall Quickness

Scott Machado- how fast and athletic he is

     Height- Reach

Anthony Davis is he a PF or a Center?

Bradley Beal, many question marks about his height

Jared Sullinger: if he tall enough for the 4

Perry Jones: I dont think he is truly 6 ´11

Acy He is a good player, want to know his reach

    Weight

Jared Sullinger: He has weight issues, lets see his work on conditioning

Will Barton   is he that thin and weak?

What do you want to know about prospects at the combine?

I want to see how Quincy Miller test out athletically. He looked as slow as a slug last season.

I want to see if Evan Fournier can really ball and is a 1st round talent or if he was overhyped due to the lack of international talent this year.

I really want to see whether Anthony Davis has the skills and ability to play on the perimeter, because coach Cal did say that he’d probably be a Small Foward his first year because of his lack of strength.

I’m curious about all of the heights, wing spans, and standing reach.  I want to see how much Sullinger weighs and his vertical.  Also who’s going to have a 40in vert, if anyone.

I’m really curious how Austin Rivers measures at the combine size-wise and athletically.

(How strong is he? Is he 6-4? Does he have super hops?)

A great combine could really boost him to a top 5 lottery pick.

If he measures 6-3 or lower, that could really ruin his stock unless he can prove teams that he can play point.

As for other players, I want to see:

    • If Draymond Green is athletic enough to play the 3
    • If Wroten and Harkless are freak athletes (Like Shumpert and Gay, respectively)
    • Royce White, is he fast or athletic enough to be a great point forward?
    • Lamb’s, Henson’s and Davis’s strength

I like looking at combine numbers just to see what everyone can do but they shouldn’t be factored into drafting. Guys who don’t perform as well but are workout warriors hardly ever pan out.

MKG’s height, Sullingers height, Festus Ezeli’s length, Fab Melo’s length, PJ3’s agility to see if it is that of a 3 or 4, Royce White’s agility to see if it is that of a 3 or 4, Terrence Jones agility to see if it is that of a 3 or 4?

The 2-5 guys.  That part of the draft could change a lot depending on how tall ( and long ) guys end up being.  You can tell they’re all pretty long by looking at them, but I think lower than expected height measurments may scare some teams.

If MKG is under 6’7” in shoes he could drop, because he does translate as a SF at the next level.  That might scare some teams.

If T-Rob is under 6’9” in shoes and he could drop as low as #5, IMO

If Drummond is 7′ in shoes, he could get some major looks at #2

I think any one of those guys could go #2 depending on their measurements and those of the others.  There are a lot of potential combinations and then add Brad Beal who could jump to #2 if all of those guys don’t measure as tall as originall thought.

T-Rob is 6’7-6’8 in shoes…he wasn’t much taller then Jamari Traylor (listed at 6’7) when they play together at the KU rec center.  I’m curious to see what TRob’s body fat % is.

Speaking of T-Rob, it’s funny to me how a baffoon with all the talent in the world (Sidney) possibly won’t be drafted, but a hard working, grind it out, self made basketball player like Robinson will be drafted in the top 5.

     Bill, you a KU Student?

I used to live in Lawrence and would play at the  KU rec center with Aaron Miles, Nash and Keith Lankford back in the mid 2000’s.  A lot of the football players can really ball too.  It’s pretty awesome to be able to play a pickup game ( although they don’t go all out) with D1 players on a random Saturday.

Yessssir!  Be a Junior majoring in Economics this upcoming semester.  I recently saw Miles at the Rec working out.  Have you been to it since it was renovated in ’08?  It’s pretty sweet.

And yes, since the seasons over, the basketball and football team shows out all the time, specifically around 5 o clock during the weekdays and pretty much all day Saturday.  Hangover hoopin’s a personal favorite.

Since we’re on the topic of KU Hoops, I must add that McLemore’s a straight stud.  He can fly man, and he’s a pure shooter.  It’s cool playing with Kevin Young as well because he’s always keeping the young guys (Tharpe, Traylor, BMac) in line whenever someone fouls ’em real hard.  Look for Traylor to put up some nice rebounding numbers this year and some improved PG play from Tharpe.

As for the footbal players, the one that stands out the most is Chris Omigie, who’s one of our wideouts.  6’4 around 200 and can leap with the best of them.

They’re all Jayhawk Cafe (Hawk) regulars as well lol

That’s awesome, and no I haven’t, the last time I played there was probably in 07′ because I remember Julian Wright was doing shooting drills and I remembered it was a month or so before the draft.

I’ve heard great things about McLemore and it’s great to hear a first hand account.  They definately need a guy who can get them points next season.  Thanks for the report, definately a very cool town because it is so small and tons of former Jayhawks are involved with the program and have houses there.  I saw Jacques Vaughn at Target one time a couple years ago. lol

I’ve got a cousin who plays HS ball down by Wichita and I’ve heard beastly things about Perry Ellis.  I’m excited to see him in a KU uniform next year.

The City League in Wichita seems to be a KU hotbed as of late with Ellis and Frankamp coming into ’13.  I met Frankamp at a Schocker game over Turkey day break and his body is alien esque; short neck, big head, long arms and freakishly big hands which i found surprising considering his shooting prowess.

I fully expect Ellis to be a 2-3 year player in the Marcus Morris mold.

BTW, what’s your favorite wing place down here?  I’ve been a regular at Jeffersons for quite some time now and am looking to change it up.  Outside of Brothers, any suggestions?

I know it’s a chain, but my old roomate was a wing feind, and he swore by Buffalo Wild Wings.

I really liked Henry T’s over by 6th and Kasold.  They have a cheap wing night (Wed I think) and they were always really good.  They have a bunch of different flavors and stuff.  I also remember them having some sort of enormous bucket or basket or something that was great to split with a couple friends.

    WTF I’m BANNED

"Anthony Davis is he a PF or a Center?" both

"Jared Sullinger: is he tall enough for the 4"… certainly for the 4. As a believer that he could play center, i want to see how that pans out.
