torukParticipantBoth teams playing hard(no joke intended), if they keep this fast tempo i think kentucky will have the advantage, they have a more athletic team.
This game is going to be awesome!0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 3:53pm #654622

torukParticipantThese two are playing with such a high motor, they are attacking fearlessly. Gilchrist is taking a beating over there, he went two times hard to the floor. Whitey is playing big for kansas.

MkadozaParticipantMichael Kidd Gilchrist’s intangibles, hustle, motor, strength, and focus are extremely impressive. Davis has to be what Bill Russell would look like in today’s game.

marcusfizer21ParticipantThis championship game is waaaaaaaaaaay better than last year… Both teams are playing with high intensity…

MkadozaParticipantAnd its Withey. Misplace the H much?

B-ball fanParticipantThomas Robinson keeps getting rejected. 9 minutes in he has been blocked 4 times and tied up while going up for a shot once.
Kentucky looks ridiculously good in transition. Kansas is going to need to score big and hope Kentucky gets tired. Kansas has to slow the game down big time, even though they often play at a fast pace, too.

marcusfizer21ParticipantHas Davis even scored yet? I don’t think he’d need to score… He’s been playing magnificent defense… Him and Jeff Withey are throwing a block party out there…

UNCbasketballbumParticipantKentucky is just playing at a level above what Kansas can compete with. MKG is an absolute stud.

Michael.S.ParticipantGilchrist has alot of traits that simply cannot be taught but, boy, the things that can be taught are as raw as it comes with him.

WizardofOzParticipantKentucky is just too stacked man.

FastAndFuriousParticipant18 year old Teague man handled 22 year old Tyshawn Taylor a couple of times already.
Also Teague is GONE, definite first round pick and don’t be suprised if he sneaks into lottery after the combine and workouts.

B-ball fanParticipantThey have such good interior defense. T-Rob has gone up for a shot 9 times within 5 feet of the rim by my count and has made one of them, with the others never touching the rim. Kansas just can’t get quality shots.

GoodbyeChandlerParticipantBut I think Anthony Davis will record a quintuple double at least once on the next level. I was a little skeptical of him due to the excessive hype, but after watching him in this tourney, all of my doubt has been eroded. What can’t that boy do?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 4:14pm #654639

OhCanada-ParticipantKentuck always has extremely talented teams, the difference this year is the intagibles. From top to bottom they have a rotation filled with high octane energy players, that focus on the task at hand, dont need to make the spectacular play, and want wins. Took Teague a while to conform to this system but he has come along as tonights game shows. Terrence Jones is extremely underrated and I think he maybe the most NBA ready SF in this draft in terms of all around skills, how he will fit into different teams systems, how his hieght, wieght and athletisism fit into the NBA game and how mentally ready he is. He will be a solid contributor in the NBA wherever he goes. Jones hasnt even really displayed his awesome ball handling and playmaking skills in Kentucky. I think he should be a lotto selection.

WizardofOzParticipantT-Rob is really struggling against UK’s length.

torukParticipantTerrence jones is a beast, he has all the tools and he really learned how to make better decisions this year.

marcusfizer21ParticipantKansas has been down by double digits the last 3 out of 4 games and came back… But my say on that would be, they don’t have Anthony Davis caliber of talent on those teams, do they?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 4:24pm #654646
B-ball fanParticipantMan, am I the only one who feels that Kansas is lucky it is only down 14 at the half.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 4:24pm #654647

mgreener_34ParticipantI don’t think there is any doubt now that Gilchrist and Davis will be the first two picks in this draft. Also Kansas should honor Withey; without him they would have been completely blown out this half, and probably lose the Ohio game.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 4:45pm #654666

marcusfizer21ParticipantTyshawn Taylor looks a lot like Jeff Green..

WälseParticipanti swear to god the amount of timeouts in this game is making me sick…i’m seriously pissed off!
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 5:27pm #654682

mgreener_34ParticipantThis will be the only time I ever say this, but for once in my life I wish these refs. would start calling these fouls. Kansas has missed 11 lay ups and 2 dunks, and a lot of those have been because of bumps and pushes. I really can’t complain because they arn’t blowing the whistle both ways, and are just letting them play.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 5:28pm #654684

torukParticipantDavis just can`t score on him, he is really making a good impression, this game is going to improve his draft stock a lot.

marcusfizer21ParticipantWhatta block!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

McDunkinJarrod Polson is a champion

joecheck88ParticipantWhat’s the over/under on how long this championship will be counted? Lol.
Seriously though, congrats to Kentucky. They jumped out early and held off a very good Kansas team.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 04/02/2012 - 6:51pm #654730

chocboywndrParticipantAs Tar Heel fan I feel better watching Kansas continually lock up top teams in second half of games. I have to give them credit they fight to the death. I am very interested to see how the rest of Kentucky team other than Davis do as pros. This teams seems like a perfect balance, I wonder how they will translate their talents without each other.
