Allen_Iverson_3ParticipantLook at how Ty Lawson crossed over Ryan Anderson, so much that his ankle did actually hurt!

akhan786ParticipantAm I only one who doesn’t think the ankle twist was because of the crossover? Seemed more like he just landed weird when he planted his foot.
I’ve seen better crossovers from Ty.

UNCbasketballbumParticipantLawson might be the fastest player end to end in the NBA. He’s one of the rising star pg’s in the NBA although he’s a notch below the elite pg’s Rose, Westbrook and Paul. Should be an all-star next year.

Critically ThinkingParticipantbut he isnt gonna be an allstar next year with westbrook, paul, possibly D-Will with Dallas. The point guard position is just too deep and talented.

M-DYMESParticipantIn my career, I have twice literally broken a player’s ankle and both times it was not off of the greatest move I’ve ever made.
The one was almost exactly like what Lawson pulled. Playing with the defender with a few crossover, get him backpedaling, and then throw in a quick step-back. It caught me by surprise which I think it did to Lawson as well, b/c it certainly doesn’t seem like an "anklebreaker" worthy move. Alot of it must be attributed to throwing your opponent’s weight on to their back foot and forcing them to having to quickly shift that to cover you on the step-back. It seems like if they catch their ankle on the roll it is very susceptible to breaking. I don’t recall if my opponent rolled it when it broke, but it clearly is due to weight placement in an awkward position.
