TheDagger40ParticipantIf you had to make a starting five out of 2 current nba players(non rookies), 1 rookie, and 2 college players/draft prospects, who would you choose and why?
Here’s mine:
PG: Chris Paul
SG: Bradley Beal
SF: Kawhi Leonard
PF: Anthony Davis
C: Tyson Chandler
With this team, defense is not a problem. Leonard, Chandler, Davis, and Beal don’t need to dominate the ball to score. This team can rack up lots of steals and rebound really well. Also, Beal, Leonard, and Paul can shoot well.

BruinSteveParticipantPG: Ricky Rubio
SG: Brad Beal
SF: Kevin Durant
PF: Perry Jones
C: Dwight Howard
This team would be a run and gun team with all the speed and athleticism. I feel rubio’s passing, beal’s shooting, and jones overall skillset compliment the two stars howard and durant. I also feel a perfect compiment to Perry is an athletic defensive rebounding center.

Wahoo757ParticipantUsing the ‘one star rule’ Y2G used, here’s how my team would look.
PG-Kyrie Irving-Front runner for ROY. Has nice blend of athleticism, passing abilities, and all-around scoring ability.
SG-Ray Allen-He’s not really a star anymore, but he’s a great shooter, and has some surprising athleticism considering his age.
SF -Michael Kidd-Gilchrist-Doesn’t need the ball or to score to make an impact on the game, his defensive ability and athleticism is a nice fit for this team.
PF-Anthony Davis-Like MKG, doesn’t need the ball to be effective, solid rebounder, developing offensive skills, and we all know about his shot blocking ability.
C-Dwight Howard-My ‘star.’ Top rebounder in the NBA, and he and Davis would be an unbelievable tandem in terms of defense and shot-blocking ability.0 - Posted on: Thu, 03/29/2012 - 3:34pm #653111

Wavy BagelsParticipant- PG – Deron Williams
Orchestrates the offense, gets in your grill if you’re not playing to the best of your ability and can take over the game at any time.
- SG – Iman Shumpert
Wing defender, shooter, slasher and moves in transition.
- SF – Harrison Barnes
I know he’s not the best handler and lacks shot-creation, but that’s where D-Will comes in handy
- PF – Anthony Davis
The Brow: Nuff Said
- C – Marc Gasol
I understand Dwight Howard is the best center in the league, but I’m sick of picking him, it’s getting boring, so I went with Marc.
I like this team a bunch. Gasol and Davis would make for one heck of a frontcourt and the overall ball movemet would fairly thrive.

Tobe BryantParticipantPG- Derrick Rose: He’s the man at PG right now. Speed, agility, body contortion, and a floor leader.
SG- Iman Shumpert: My one rookie, killer on defense. Athletic and runs the floor well, and can spot up SOMETIMES.
SF- Harrison Barnes: Wing scorer that would thrive playing with two great ball handlers. Great size at the 3 spot.
PF- Dirk Nowitzki: Pure scoring at 7 ft. Big time mismatch on offense.
C- Andre Drummond: Intriguing prospect. Has all the tools but needs a player like Dirk or D.Rose to help unlock that potential.

montauriush4ParticipantPG: Ricky Rubio-passing abilities, solid rebounder, play the passing lane very well
SG: Lebron James-passing abilities, great rebounder, can get in the lane anytime he want to, great defender, great athleticism
SF: Kevin Durant-all-around scoring ability, good defender, solid rebounder, solid passer now
PF: Perry Jones III- solid rebounder, run the floor very, althletic, will be a perfect compliment to lebron and ricky cause they see the floor very
C: Anrhony Davis-good defender, solid rebounder, run the floor, athletic, will hold the middle down with his great shot blocking abilities

PF: Kevin Love
C: Anthony Davis

JordoParticipantPG: John Wall
SG: Klay Thompson
SF: Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
PF: Anthony Davis
C:Tyson Chandler
This would be a scary team in transition. John Wall struggles in half court offense and Davis is not a guy you can give the ball on the block and he makes things happens. So this would be a team that scores off of forced turnoves and getting out in transition. Davis is athletic enough to go get the lobs Wall will throw to him. MKG does all of the dirty work getting roubounds and diving for lose balls. Tyson would be the defensive ancor, protecting the paint, and cleaning up mistakes of the young guys.

DondiJohnParticipantPG: Tony Parker
SG: Austin Rivers
SF: Michael Kidd Gilchrist
PF: Kevin Love
C: Jonas Valanciunas or Nikola Vucevic
Jonas does not qualify as a rookie yet but if he played I would put him. If not, I’m happy with Nikola Vucevic
I have 2 Top 5 or Top 10 MVP candidates in Parker and Love with a great pick n roll game between the two, scoring with Austin Rivers, defense and intangibles with MKG and Vucevic/ Jonas
