Davis is the type of player that gets some odd comparisons, shifting from Marcus Camby to Kevin Garnett.

Here are some interesting stats that always make succesful players:

Low TO ratio, Kentucky doesnt run much plays for him, but 0.9 To/g is very impressive, it demonstrates his overall awareness and soft hands.

Low Foul rate, this will go a bit high in the NBA if he doesnt add some strenght, but to average less than 2 fouls a game averaging almost 5 blocks shows his defensive awareness. This is one of the big issues with raw big men, even athletic ones. This shows Davis is every bit of NBA ready.

Developing Jumpshot: I think he shoots very well for a player his size, Remember when Calipari didnt show Demarcus Cousins midrange game in Kentucky, he just make kids plays his system. He is developing a nice jumpshot 15-19ft, he shoud be fine in the league.

Solid Free Throw shooter: He will should be capable of shooting 70-75% in the league.

Good rebounder for his weight, uses his length very well to catch everything, just incredible.

20 more pounds should do miracles in this department, he will need to box out stronger players.

High motor: High motor is about desire, about to be passionate, Anthony has passion. (Look how rawer and smaller Kenneth Faried is doing with his motor) this separates the good players from the great ones.

Solid handles, lenght and overall Athleticism, this should suffice to make him the 1st pick.

About hims to developing post skills and add weight, i think he will need a year or two, but he is a learner, always shows some new skills in games. His frame should support 245 pounds, so dont need to worry about being the next coming of Jonathan Bender.

Overall aside from strenght i dont see many negatives on his game, he will put the pounds he is needing, he will learn the game.

Sorry for my english, it is a bit messed up.

The thing that really impresses me about his game is his hands. He legitimately catches everything whether it be a rebound, poor pass, or otherwise.

He has the most “superstar potential” of any potential draft pick.

I love when "high motor" is a reason a guy should translate to the next level. WTF is a high motor? Does that mean the guy is trying? Or running extra fast?

I took me a while to make this connection, but now that I have, I’m going all out with it.

    Ralph Sampson

Dominant burst on to the NCAA stage averaging 14.9 ppg 11.9 rpg and blocking 157 shots, while showing enough polish on the offensive end to warrant predictions of development going forward.

Sampson, is regarded as one of the best NCAA basketball players in history, but I feel Davis would be in that same class if he played 3 more season.  He would develop into a sure fire #1 option and 4 time NCAA All-American.

Sampson was 7’4”, but wasn’t a true NBA center.  He was the one, despite being taller, that switched to power forward when Houston acquired Olajuwon.  Davis is obviously not 7’4”, but don’t let Sampson’s height hang you up on this comparison, because he played PF for a large portion of his NBA career.

Davis will not average 20/10 as a rookie like Sampson, but he is not a 4 year NCAA player, nor as developed as Sampson when he hit the league.

I feel Davis will become a 20/10 finesse forward with the ability to play some center, like Sampson, after a couple years in the league.  I feel his offense shows signs of surpasing Camby and other defensive players he’s often compared with.  No one knows the player Sampson would have truley become without injury problems, but I see a lot of similarites between him and Anthony Davis.
