    20 year old Greek player Andreas Kanonidis (1991) 6’7" SG was called up to the senior team of Maroussi and so far in his first two games he looks great.

    He is like an NCAA junior, and if he maintained such numbers in the top Greek division then he must be on the radar of this mock draft.

    Isn’t Maroussi one of the clubs that is flat broke and just playing their juniors because they can’t afford true pros?

    I don’t think they are broke. They just decided to play their youth players because they were 0-19 and because the owners of the team decided to end the club next year. So they some of the youth players in there. Right away Kanonidis looks great.

    Actually, Maroussi had spent quite a lot on their roster this year. They had expensive players, but they just lost every game – so the club gave up. The lineup they had,

    PG Gagaloudis

    SG Akepsemaidis

    SF Nikolaidis

    PF Kommatos

    C Charitopoulos

     

    Really, this should be one of the best teams in Greece. That was a very good lineup, yet they lost every game. So the club basically gave up. Anyway, now Kanonidis got to play and he showed a lot for a guy coming from the youth team. He had crazy good numbers for a player his age in that league. it’s REALLY unusual.

    Yes. He has been in all the youth teams I think, like Under-16, Under-18, Under-20. But if I remember right he was injured during the Under-20 one.

    I swear that if one of these dudes gets drafted and does good in the league (But I really doubt all that woult be necessary to start EBs party) European Baller will be running threough the streets tipping cars like Greece just won the Olympics
