NihochuParticipantFor those of you who didnt know he wore a africa shirt instead of the eastern all stars unifrom , i dont know if many are interested in this i just really thought it was good gesture and shows that he and a lot of the nba players are more than just players and they want to make a difference in peoples lives even through little things like this.

akhan786ParticipantHe’s repping Sudan where he was born.
Luol Deng is a class act in the NBA and has started a bunch of charities to help Sudan and its youth.
I wish more NBA players were as vocal and active about their causes.

RotelaParticipantHe actually reps South Sudan, a new country that just broke off from main Sudan afters many years of oppresion and conflict. A little history; Sudan was a combination of North and South, with the North ruling over most of the country and taking advantage of the South even though most of the natural resources are in the South, the Northerns are mainly Arabs and they have been dominating Sudan for a long time. Currently South Sudan have now seceeded and they are now their own country, other players like Manute Bol, Ater Majok and Angelo Chol are from South Sudan.

ProudGrandpaParticipantDavid Stern: "He kehn’t do dat! Thatsa cleah viulation of da rulls! I kehn’t have dis kinda disordah in my league! Fine! Fiddy-thousend dollahs!"

Mr. 19134Participant@ProudGrandpa: What’s "Fiddy-thousend" to Deng can you please remind me?

apb540ParticipantIf I was a PC doucher I would rip you for making fun of Stern’s NY/Jewish accent but I’m not at all so I will instead compliment you. lmao at "viulation" too funny

F_DA_POParticipantLuol Deng was low key because he scored 0 points. That doesn’t make you much of a "silent killa".

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantHell, I had forgotten Luol Deng was even in the All-Star game! The only thing I remember is Chris Paul moving him so he wouldn’t be posterized by Blake. I guess you can call him a Silent Bystander.

Ghost01ParticipantCoach Thibs clearly had no interest in either of his own players playing much in this game. Rose got runs for the better part of the 1st and 3rd, thats it. Deng got 1 run in the 1st, thats it. They’ve both been banged up and the only people who actually care about this game are Durant, Kobe, and Lebron because the more shots they put up the bigger each of their egos get. Thibs didn’t want his guys playing much, obviously.

Johnny ChillAnyone have a picture of it?

Johnny ChillHe clearly had no interest in playing Rose and Deng very much. Both have injuries, just smart of him.
The biggest winner of this is that Coach Thibs got Lebron and Wade a lot of minutes, and saw Lebron choke again.

aamir543ParticipantNice move, repping his motherland, even more than this are his charities and organizations for youth in Sudan, giving back to people in those circumstances is greter than anything anyone can do on the court.
It was interesting to see how the coaching styles of Brooks and Thibs contrasted. Thibs chose to rest his guys, and Brooks chose to ride his guys through the end.
AndIt was nice to see Rose and Deng be low key and cool during introductions, instead of wobbling around looking like idiots. I have no problem with soaking in the moment(there was nothing to soak in though, the crowd was weak) but when you start wiggling around and laughing like Hyenas, it gets annoying

Tongue-Out-Like-23Participant"but when you start wiggling around and laughing like Hyenas, it gets annoying"
I think you’ve watched Lion King one too many times lmao. That made me laugh though but I’d be excited if I made the All-Star game as well. I guess it’s just different personalities, Rose isn’t that kind of guy that’s going to go out and dance while Dwight and LeBron love being the center of attention. Nothing wrong with that, unless there’s some jealousy involved of course.. aamir.
