aamir543ParticipantYou’ve probably heard, but DRose has just signed a 13 year 185 million dollar deal with Addidas, one of the richest shoe deals ever.
I feel really happy for him, but man that is a hell of a lot of money. I hope he manages it well, unlike another legendary Point Guard. But anyway, hopefully he’ll get healthy, and everything stays good with his hometown team.
And on a side note, he has a chance to earn an amazingly gaudy amount of money throughout his career. 94+185+Rookie Contract+Previous Addidas Deal+Next Max Contract+Other endorsements, he could have earned about 300 million after taxes even before he’s 40.

river09ParticipantThat’s so much money to wear shoes and clothes… Overkill much?.. Heck I’d wear a pair of socks if someone offered me a dollar… I know Rose is a great player and I really hope it works out for him, but that is a truly disgusting amount of money for something so trivial.

NYK2010ParticipantI agree with you river.
Thats a ridiculous amount of money, he’s getting paid a max contract already.
I know he’s a great player but thats too much money.

MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantHope he does something good with it (e.g. give a large chunk to charity) like I know he’ll do cos he’s a great and humble guy. He’s worked hard for it.

aamir543ParticipantOn a sidenote, Jeremy Lin hyperfuses are set to go on sale on Nike’s website this weekend. Nike acutually signed Lin to a deal right out of Harvard.

F_DA_POParticipantwhat the hell is he going to do with all that money? Rose doesn’t seem like the type of guy to buy 30 cars, 5 mansions and a private island.

Chuck is a LONG-SHOT away, from being broke. You have to over analayze just about everything nowadays. SELF-WEALTH, is greater than, any other wealth there is known to man. As long as he can go back to his community and give a helping hand or shirt of his back if someone is in need, is is very wealthy, which he has done so, many many times. As long as his kids, are instilled with greater disciplined , values that are set to a standard above and beyond his, as a adolescent, every thing will come out for the good.
Mr. Iverson is a LONG-SHOT away, from being broke aamir543. Allen can go back to Newport News, VA any day of the week, he chooses to do so without being robbed, shot, or killed without being surrounded by security.
I will be able to do the same, in the city of Camden, NJ.
I repeat, SELF-WEALTH is greater than, any other wealth there is known to man.

jaybullsParticipantCheyenne,
You’re struggling with the english language. Stop using commas. Your self-wealth will, consequently, sky-rocket.

tuck243ParticipantWho else on Addias label selling shoes like him?? If he’s getting $185 Million over 13 years can you imagine how much Addias is making??? I’m happy for him that’s what’s up… But commenting that’s too much money is ridiculous… He has earned the right to make that much, hell more…
