Tobe BryantParticipantReports. Say that Gilbert Arenas is scheduled for a workout this week with the LA Lakers. I found this article on the internet which makes things a little more interesting if he is signed:
Sporting News
The Lakers—and any other team thinking about signing Gilbert Arenas—will be interested in this little nugget dropped by Wizards guard Nick Young, a close friend of Arenas’: Arenas had the same procedure on his knee for which Kobe Bryant traveled to Germany after the Lakers’ season ended last year..
Speaking to Wizards blog Truth About It (via Hoopshype), Young said, “Yea, he’s been working out. He said he got the—I don’t know if I’m supposed to say this—but he got that Kobe treatment on his knees…”
The procedure Bryant had, performed by Dr. Peter Wehling, a former physician of Pope John Paul II, is a version of platelet-rich plasma therapy that involves drawing blood from the patient’s arm and then injecting platelets from that blood into the injured area to stimulate tissue repair.
Arenas said his knee “feels great, his knees feel great, and he’s been working out,” Young added. “When I seen him last time (on Jan. 4), he looked like he was in shape. He lost a lot of weight.”
Young said of Arenas potentially playing for his hometown Lakers, “For him to come back home, that part, I think that would calm him down. I think it’d be good.”

PabloFiascoParticipantIf Gil has some juice left in those knees and is in shape it’d be great for the Lakers and for the league
