The8thDeadlySinParticipantBlake over Dirk?
0- Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 6:33am #620310
radartradeyes, that is correct.Blake vs. Dirk is the biggest mismatch of athleticism in Nba history for 2 top PF’s.
Just wait till the clips play Dallas.expect Blake to go off for 40 and 20, and hound Dirk into a 7-20 performance.

LazarusMunozParticipantBlake absolutely has to learn to play defense if he wants to be considered for that top spot..I dont think he’s better than Dirk or Alridge right now…This is coming from a huge Clipper fan

Stevento be honest with you guys, amare is nothing without a solid point guard. ever since we got melo last year, hes really been disappointing. and this is coming from a die hard knicks fan.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF you think Blake can force Dirk into a 7-20 shooting performance, you’re delusional.
Other than flop and take a charge here and there, Blake can’t defend. He has one of the greatest motors I’ve ever seen, until it comes to defense.

ProudGrandpaParticipant1. Dirk

BigDParticipantYou realise that last time Blake defended Dirk he went for 20 pts 8reb 7ast on him on 10-16 shooting right?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 8:00am #620333
aamir543ParticipantI think that New York made a huge mistake by not realizing that Amare needs a good point guard to be productive. Sure they got Billups back in the Melo trade, but I don’t think Mike Bibby or Toney Douglas is the answer. But an is shape motivated to play Baron Davis might…………………

andxxxParticipant1)Dirk
2) Pau Gasol
3)Z-Bo
4) Lemarcus Aldridge
5)Chris Bosh
6)Blake Griffin
7)Kevin Love
8)Amare Stoudemire- I know a few people will get mad at me for having him so low, but he plays awful defense, can’t rebound and his scoring has declined ever since Carmelo came on the team imagine how hard it would be for him if he played with Wade and Lebron. Right now I would take every single guy I have above him way before I take Amare.
9)Luis Scola
10)Carl Landry
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 8:09am #620337

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’d take Griffin over Stoudemire, but definitely not Love. Love is a better rebounder and that’s it.

mj23mj23besteverParticipanti only saw u put blake over dirk and stopped reading wow
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 8:34am #620343

IndianaBasketballParticipantGriffin has improved his post moves and footwork in the post, but still doesn’t have a consistent jumpshot… Plus he’s still a sub par free-throw shooter. And defensively, he’s still weak. He doesn’t have one blocked shot this season and doesn’t really close out well. I’ll be watching him close vs Lamarcus Aldridge tonight.
I’d say he’s the 5th or 6th best power forward in the NBA right now.

delfamParticipantandxx’ list is perfect IMO

IndianaBasketballParticipantLmao Idk about Carl Landry at ten though.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 9:12am #620350

andxxxParticipantSo far this season Kevin Love has scored more per game than Stoudemire, he’s better at getting to the free throw line and I think we can both agree he’s a better passer. Amare Stoudemire to me is highly overrated just because he had a good stretch of games the first half of the season and was an MVP candidate the problem is he did not continue it. Stoudemire is good, but I feel there are better PF’s out there.

festar35ParticipantWhat about Ryan Anderson and the way he is playing right now. Has to be close to the top 10
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 9:15am #620352

RUDEBOY_Participant1.Dirk Nowitzski-Its strange to say that a jump shooting big man is the best power forward in the game today..Dirk earned that title when he became an unstoppable force and lead the Mavs to the title..
2.Pau Gasol-Some have bashed him becuz he didnt perform well in last season’s playoffs..But Pau is the nba’ best post player..And he’s a great passer, rebounder and shot blocker..
3.Chris Bosh-Despite being the butt of alot of jokes for being soft…But there havent been that many players that have been 3rd options on a team that has averaged 20 pts/8 rbs a game, while playing with 2 ball dominant players..
4.Zack Randolph-ZBo might be the Moses Malone of this era..Not highlight high flying type of players, but guys that just go out and play…
5.Blake Griffin-Blake will be the consensus power forward in 2 years, but right now he has things he needs to work on…But his talent has him in the top 5 right now…
6.Amare Stoudemire
7.Kevin Love-Great rebounder and passer…
8.LaMarcus Aldridge-
9.Kevin Garnett-He’s still 1 of the best defenders in the league..
10.Andreas Bargnani

IndianaBasketballParticipant@RUDEBOY
I was nodding my head and saying "Yep" as I was reading down your list and then got to Andreas Bargnani……….
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 9:18am #620358

IndianaBasketballParticipantKevin Love isn’t better than Amare Stoudemire.
Stoudemire is adjusting right now. Unlike last year, there is another player in the paint and clogging it. Plus Melo is there.
Not that I’m as high on Stoudemire as some people, but I’d take him over Love. The only way I take Love over Stoudemire is if I already have two great offensive players on my team.

seniokasParticipant@ Rudeboy
Thats what I think, except LaMarcus he definetely should be higher, the best player in the very good team which I think could make some noise in the west. He should have been an All-Star last year and he is great player on both ends of the floor.
Talking about Griffin his stats are BIG but untill I see that he can win I wont accept him as the best PF in the league because last year stats were incredible but Clippers were still struggling. Although, its hard to say something bad about him because I think that we all are forgeting that its only his second season in the league. Second season and some people consider him as the best PF, although those who say he is best are definetely looking too much at his statistic and highlights.
Nevertheless, I cant see a reason why in a few years he couldnt be the best PF in the league. If there is no injuries he will be the best he has great work ethic, great body, he wont loose his athletism so quickly and so on. I think we all should prepare for many many highlights from him in the upcoming years.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantYou can make a case for several guys for that 10th spot,i was leaning toward Duncan, but they’re not running that many plays for him now, that he’s slowed down a little, but he’s still capable of having an impact..
Scola also deserves mention and so does Josh Smith,David Lee and Boozer…
I’m 1 of the few people that have said Ryan Anderson should be a starter..

OhCanada-ParticipantAndrea Bargnani is a PF now, its legit. Still needs to start rebounding but he could be squeked in at 10 to 15.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 01/01/2012 - 1:19pm #620402

OhCanada-ParticipantAlso this may sound like a stupid bias statement from a longtime Raptor fan, but Dwayne Casey has changed Bargnani. I can tell so much change in Bargnani he has never played this confident. He is doing everything right offensively, he is also defending which shows us how bad a defender he is but he is trying, and hopefully learning. He isnt scared of failure and should have a great year offensively.
