Perry Jones is physically more gifted and better skilled player than Anthony Davis, but one thing Davis has over Jones is intangibles. It really depends on what type of PF you want, do you want a mismatch nightmare offensively (Jones), or a defensive player (Davis). It’s disappointing that Perry Jones doesn’t make more impact defensively, considering his length and athleteism.

who is stronger? Perry Jones, I can’t think of many players not stronger than Anthony Davis

who has better hops? I think Jones, Davis has amazing length which makes him more effective around the glass, I’d bet his standing reach is somewhere around 9’4” or 9’5”

which one will be picked first this draft? Davis

who will avg. 10 reb a game first in the nba? Davis, I see him as a Marcus Camby type player in the NBA.  Jones isn’t a great rebounder, even at the college level.  I don’t think he’ll ever average 10 rpg, but he could average 20 ppg someday

who has better post moves? Perry Jones

who is a better passer? Perry Jones

who’s ceiling is higher? I think defensively Davis has a ceiling about as high as it gets for a PF, but I think his offensive ceiling is about 14 or 15 ppg.  I view Jones as a really good player and a guy who could be a very solid #2 option, 17-20 ppg player.  Nothing to scoff at, but I think Davis’ defensive potential makes him the pick here.

who is stronger? Perry by FAR Anthony has the tools to gain another 20pounds or so but Perry is already around 240

who has better hops? Perry too

which one will be picked first this draft? Davis as for now looks an easy pick but watch out for Perry continueing play dominant and if Davis won’t show his predicted versatility offensively this could be close

who will avg. 10 reb a game first in the nba? Perry shows more and more he won’t avg that much ever, as for Anthony it depends how ready overall he will be and how much minutes he will get , cause he can do it from day one

who has better post moves? now Perry by far, with the work ethic touch and foot work it could be close in a year or two

who is a better passer? it’s close, by stats it looks like Perry but when Davis starts to dribble more and be overall bigger force offensively he could be better

who’s ceiling is higher? i love him so i still would say it’s Perry but i really think Anthony will end up better cause his ceiling is still very very high and it seems he could get pretty close to it

….and Joe do you really think in the draft called as a one of the deepest in a long time a lot of gms would pick a guy #1 overall who is gonna score 14pts at best and stat wise will be like Joakim Noah..im also questioning that was Davis versatility only a fake of youtube highlights but i still think he will be MUCH better than that

@lailia, Marcus Camby was taken #2, and so was Tyson Chandler.  Noah would have gone #2 if he went pro after his Soph season.  Some GM’s see a defensive prospect and think they can mold them into a better scorer, and a lot of times those players do improve, but very rarely does a guy who is drafted because of their defensive ability turn into a guy who drops more than 15 ppg.  Not to say it can’t happen, just something I’ve noticed over the years.

Davis could be a good scorer someday, but I really don’t see him being anything more than a 12-15 ppg scorer.  Teams will give him a look at #1 because of the "What if" factor.  What if we can mold him into an offensive prospect, have him gain 25 lbs and he’s dropping 20 ppg 13 rpg and 3.5 blocks a night.  He may develop that way, but more often than not you can count of the shot blocking and rebounding and any offensive production is a bonus.

To get more than 15 ppg on most NBA teams you have to be a better scorer than everyone on your team except for 2 players.  Even if Davis improves on the offensive end, even in my wildest dreams, I just don’t see him as a 1 or 2 option, meaning he is a better scorer than everyone or everyone except one player on his team.

who is stronger?– Jones… was this supposed to be a trick question?

who has better hops?– they both have good bunnies, ill give it to jones

which one will be picked first this draft?–ima say jones, anthony davis is so raw at this point, he will be great though and improve, but he has more bust potential to me than jones… not saying davis will become a bust

who will avg. 10 reb a game first in the nba?– davis

who has better post moves?– davis doenst have post moves, so jones

who is a better passer?– no idea

who’s ceiling is higher?– each player has great potential, but ima say its a tie, you cant go wrong with either 1

Perry Jones can very well could be the best player in the draft down the future in the NBA. He need’s to get a PF mentality he is elite athlete better than Davis and Drummond. He has length can shoot is skilled with the ball in in his hand’s good body proportion. I made a thread about how I would pick Jones over Davis and Drummond and I got almost 20 Negatives. LOL

     who is stronger?
    Perry Jones

    who has better hops?
Perry Jones – One of The Most Athletic Players in This Draft

which one will be picked first this draft?
Perry Jones – Has played terrific so far this year 19 Points a Game And led Baylor to an Undeafeated Start

who will avg. 10 reb a game first in the nba?
Anthony Davis – Better Rebounder Than Jones as he is a True 4. Perry Jones relies on Athleticism and Length To Grab Rebounds rarely Boxes Out

    who has better post moves?
Perry Jones – Good Post Moves, already has Go To Moves in the Post with a Turnaround Jumphook and Can Faceup and take defender to the hole

    who is a better passer?
Perry Jones – Underrated Passer. Finds Open Man in double teams, Good Vision in Transition

    Overall:
Anthony Davis will be a Very Good Player in a the NBA i think he could be a Longer, More Athletic Chris Bosh maybe average around 18 Points 12 Rebounds add in 2 Blocks in his prime.Has a Good Jumpshot. Great Wingspan. Needs to develop a better post game, could be a special player in the Future. Perry Jones has played Terriffic So far in the season averaging 19 Points a game through his 4 games. He scored 26 In his Debut and 28 In an Away Game against BYU. In two games against Bethune-Cookman and northwestern he only scored 8 and 12 because he didn’t really need to do much (two blowouts). He has shown his skills this season, made 2 Three pointers in a game against BYU and also showed his Will to win coming back from an Injury to hit a game winning shot for baylor. Jones has shown his terrific potential this season proving why he could play the Wing in the NBA (He has caught the rebound, weaved through traffic to get a layup in the other end multiple times this season). Has improved jumpshot since last year. Still needs To Improve shotblocking and defense which Anthony Davis Already Has. Jones could become a great scorer in the NBA. But for what he has shown right now, expect around 18-20 Points a game and around 6-8 Rebounds 5 Assists a game.

Davis is the real deal, that’s winning basketball, put him alongside cousins and watch out.

6’11 sophomore should be able to grab a board and block a shot when he plays with a 6’6 center.

I have a team need at SF and PF, i grab MKG every days over Jones, he’ll stay an "if" player.
