valentineA friend that works within the Baylor organisation says that Perry Jones is closing in on 7 foot. 6’11.25 and still growing
He also said he has a wingspan of 7’5
Lock for #1???

Michael.S.Participanti’d take him 1 if I was a GM, absolutely.
He has the ability to play the 3-5 on offense and D, and is a mismatch nightmare. His abilities are amazing and his offensive game is coming along nicely. He could easily become a franchise player in the NBA some day.

omphalosParticipantIn this draft I don’t think anybody is a lock for #1. It will all come down to how they perform down the stretch of the season. Williams and Irving both boosted their draft stock with solid play in the tournament, so expect the same rule to apply here.
That said, if PJ3 can show that same aggressiveness he’s shown early on a regular basis then I think he takes it away.

Bmore_DCParticipantive been saying since last year he has the most potential out of any player besides maybe Drummond…people question his motor but i really dont understand why? i would def take him number one…unless its a team who needs a center/power forward (drummond), as i see PJ3 as a 3/4…
its rare to find a player with his size/length, handles, shot, and rebounding abilities, plus what i think is very under-rated is his athleticism and coordination for his size…

ProudGrandpaParticipantDunkinDuckDog makes another post about height.

Malik-UniversalParticipantim still tryna to figure out who has the most potential outta drummond, davis and jones
i tend to lean more on drummond becuz of his size, once he gets the college game figured out… watch out!!… that man is to talented
but davis and jones are nightmares to

TheLastWordParticipantI know he had a big game against Outback Prarie but lets wait a few more games before declaring him the #1 pick. He had roughly the same body last year and struggled to do anything.

omphalosParticipant@TheLastWord; don’t forget he was playing with notorious chucker LaceDarius Dunn in his freshman season. He’s well and truly the focal point this time around, which will be the biggest reason he plays better.

HaleParticipantIt’s Drummond. He has the strength that Jones and Davis will likely never have and he is still an incredible athlete.

lalailaParticipantJones is a freak..looks like he could develop into whatever he wants..
and how about his weight is he already 240?

lalailaParticipantbut on the other hand 6’11 7’5 athletic spiceman should be averaging more than 7 rebounds a game

WizardofOzParticipantYeah he looks a legit 6’11" to me. And if he grows to 7’0", he going to be a unique physical specimen.

tli232I wonder if Jonathan Bender is looking at Jones and seeing himeself 15 years ago. I just hope Jones will end uo being what Jonathan Bender was SUPPOSED to be, if not more.
Let’s see if Jones can stay healthy with that huge body

JoeWolf1I like Jones as a prospect and think he’ll be top 3 when all is said and done. He’s got a big game thisafternoon, Northwestern is a very solid team and the best team Baylor has faced so far. John Shurna and co are tearing it up and are probably a top 30 team right now IMO. I think Perry will have a good game against them, but it will be a much bigger test than Prarie View.

He already is a unique physical specimen, and additional inch isn’t going to define that.

Dale WorthingtonParticipantYou guys were hating on him last year but nao you’re riding his weiner? What da heahw?
He was extremely unassertive last year (and it had very little to do with Dunn’s assertiveness).
Moreover, he didn’t even have a position last year. Had zero shooting ability for the 3 and couldn’t bang for the 4.
Kind of just floated around in the high post.
Just a bit perplexed as to how a strong game against perennial powerhouse Prarie View A&M could completely alter your opinion on him.

PlatParticipantI’d still rank it Drummond, Davis, Jones but all three have superstar potential

kobyzParticipanti moved up Perry Jones III to the top 5 prospects, dude remind me a bigger Nicolas Batum.
