HitsterParticipantIs anyone else on here really just missing seeing some top quality NBA action, we should be in opening week now and seeing how things are going but there will be no ball now until December at the earliest and more realistically mid December at the earliest if we assume it would be a month from a handshake deal until tip off. With no talks until next Monday, we are getting closer and closer to when the Christmas period games could go.
Instead we end up making up fictional scenarios on here to keep us busy until the NCAA season starts in about a week’s time.
I’d try to resist posting fictional scenarios but I can resist no longer, so how about how much more revenue to we reckon the Bobcats would makeif MJ decided to come out of retirement and play a few games. I know he’s near to 50 now but when he talks about the team losing money, would him playing a few minutes from the bench for a few weeks help fill the Time Warner Arena on a few occasions and give the Bobcats and MJ himself a nice financial boost.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantNobody that really loves the game of basketball wants to see Jordan make another comeback at age 50…His last year in DC, he was a shell of the explosive great athlete we enjoy watching play…I think he can average about 14 points..But who wants to see Jordan coming off the bench? He’s lost his quickness…
Charlotte can make that team attractive to the fans,by winning and bringing in players they can connect to…

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThis lockout is really Hurting guys still on rookie deals..
Andy Rautins had to move out of his apartment and back in with his parents, becuz he couldnt afford to pay rent anymore…
A Memphis rookie sold the jewelry he bought last year,so he could pay his car note…

sheltwon3Participanteveryone knew this lockout was coming. Players get paid too much for me to feel sorry for them because they are struggling. I am on the players side but if you are a fool with a little money, more money will not fix the problem.

GrandmamaParticipantThe sh*tty thing is the possibility of missing a complete season on guys entering their prime; Rose, Durant, etc….the possibility of missing out on the development of young studs like Griffin, Wall, etc… All b/c of greed, damn that dollar

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAs long as it starts before the NFL season ends, I’m happy.
It really must suck for people who don’t watch football, soccer, hockey, or any other sport that is going on.

marcusfizer21Participantmy Denver Broncos sucks so it’s still pretty much bullcrap for me waiting for the NBA season to start… Especially when they got demoralized by the Lions… damn

durantula83ParticipantI’m from Belgium and we have been without a government for almost 2 years now. I’m used to shit lingering on over seemingly small and obvious matters to the common man.

TyroberParticipantWell I know my wife is pretty happy about the lockout. She hasn’t been forced to watch basketball since the finals. Basketball is literally the only thing I watch during the season.

What The DevilParticipantThis lockout hurts my soul. 🙁 Missing all the good action so that millionaires can fight billionaires….
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/06/2011 - 3:16pm #606932

OhCanada-ParticipantThe fans cant watch basketball because we allowed players and owners to have all the say with the product. The funny thing is the players and owners get paid from money straight out of our pockets. So we cant watch the game, or in other words we cant enjoy what we have been paying for because they are now arguing over the money.

What The DevilParticipantI’ll be completely honest…all this greed is really turning me off the NBA…..the NFL got theirs done a bit late but at least they got it done and it seemed like a fair deal…The thing about this lockout is that it’s all about like 2 or 3% of BRI I think….that’s so stupid and selfish in my opinion…every day a new deal isn’t made I start to care less and less about basketball because I can’t watch it and the players/owners don’t care about fans they just care about their pockets….depressing
