Watching David Stern live interview, they stated they offered players 50/50 and they declined and said Players ended the meeting even though owners wanted to work it out. If by monday oct. 10 nothing is reached the 1st two weeks of regular season will be cancelled. There is no meeting scheduled within the week. looks like there will be a shortened season or no season at all if they keep this up

Bring on College Basketball. Because this is BULL$HIT! Both sides piss me off. Reading peoples suggestions piss me off. One side claiming the other side broke off negotiations piss me off. David Stern and Billy Hunter being a couple of Ferris Bueller’s riding their daddies car around Chicago pisses me off. Well, NCAA BASKETBALL SEASON IS ALMOST HERE! BOOYAKASHA!

I am posting this, mainly because it is awesome. It was in an And 1 mixtape, though I could not find that part of the vid on youtube. However, Mos does say "Shut down your game like the NBA lockout". Plus, this is when they need to end the lockout:

Big deal…  this is the process that has to be gone through for the playing field to be leveled.   I couldn’t care less about either the players or the owners because in the end they are the only winners.  Owners will make billions and players 10"s of millions. If either side cared about the fans they would have asked our oppinion and I don’t remember that happening.   Last thing I remember is that even if I was given free tickets to an NBA game it would still cost me $20 to park and another $30 to $40 for concessions if I got out cheap.

PMD hit it on the head. The ticket sales are well in good, but ultimately, they want you in the building any way they can get you. Parking and concessions are where they make the real killing. That is the ultimate reason why it is so hard to see the owners losing money. The salaries and costs are huge, but they are selling 12 dollar beers every game. Well, in these things, the ones who lose the most are the fans. As much as we all love sports, any time a lockout happens, the bottom line is that we are going to have to shell out more money to go to games.

Owners aren’t losing money. The Stern $300 million loss number is a lie. For example, a lot of the owners own their own stadium, but they consider that a different business and legally it probably is. So you point out all cash we drop in the building or in parking when at the game, but in Stern’s world, that is money going to an unrelated business (which happens to be owned by the same dude) and the basketball team "loses" money.

I feel numb right now.  Seriously, I can’t feel my face.
