I know showcasing young basketball talent such as 8th grader’s can be frowned upon because of all the politics involved….but…I have absolutely NO agenda except to bring some positive attention to ten nice players from the high school graduating class of 2016.  There is obviously more talent in the 8th grade class than just 10 players, but not everyone can be mentioned unfortunately.  There are some players I wanted to talk about, but they had no video, so they were left off.

I express my feelings about the positives and negatives involving all of the exposure youth players are receiving these days a little more indepth in the article, so I won’t go into detail here.

One more thing…For all you gamer’s out there…I installed 4 classic video games at the bottom right hand corner of the site…Pacman, Frogger, Asteroids, and Simon Says….I know it aint PS3 or X-Box….but….if you can get like 20 in a row in SIMON. SAYS…then you are a true gamer…lol

Usually I dont like rating prospects while they are this young, but based only on names…RAEKWON "The Chef" LONG is a future lottery pik.

It’s crazy to see lil Eron… I remember when he was just a baby lol.

I get to watch him play a lot though. I think EJ was a little more athletic at the same age, but Eron is better. He’s a better ball handler and scorer, while having the same body and strength. He’s going to be just as good or better than his brother. He also plays with A LOT more swagger.

Can’t wait to get to Westlane Middle School this Fall to check out a few of his games.

Watch out for Eron Gordon’s AAU teammate Vijay Blackmon. Gordon is starting to pass him up in hype but he is a serious player. Not the same athleticism or strength but he’s the smoothest middle schooler i’ve seen. His skill level is way advanced. Was ranked #9 last I saw.
