moximusParticipantHe came out and said his foot is 100% better. http://www.slamonline.com/online/nba/2011/07/tyreke-evans-says-his-foot-is-100-percent/
What is your prediction as to what kind of season he will have after the lockout is over?

BasketBalAllanParticipantA good season, hopefully no more injuries and he will be able to show his improved jump shot, decision-making, and leadership.
What else is there to be said?

JaeEvolutionParticipantI think he will be put more into the SG role when the season starts and will be given the greenlight to shoot more, I think he will have a 23 PPG, 5.5 APG, and 6 RPG kind of numbers.

ilike.panochasParticipantI see him scoring 20ppg again next season. Don’t really see that much dramatic increase in scoring, because he will have to share the ball with Cousins, Thornton, Jimmer, and Hickson. They could have 6 players averaging double figure in scoring.

Ball1SLife41ParticipantHe will have a better season since he is said to be fully healed. I wish he could be that 20-5-5 guy in his rookie year but better. However given Cousins, Jimmer, Thornton, and the rest of the Kings…they will want the ball and score so I don’t know if he can hit 20ppg or higher :/

dye84Participanteven on a bad ankle he can still get to the rim whenever, its just that they are starting to put a wall up whenever he goes to the whole, he really needs a jumpshot but hopefully jimmer and thornton can open up the floor for him, also he needs to dish it off to cousins when he draws a double team from a big, he should average at least 20ppg, cant wait for the season to start, kings will actually be at home to start the season for the first time in years, i will be there

iguapops420ParticipantSomewhere between his first 2 seasons. Not quite as good as his rookie year, but not as bad as this past, unless he gets a jumper in the offseason.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI think he will become the 4th best SG in the league behind Kobe, Wade, Johnson, Evans, then Monta…
If they would have a .500 season, he could be an allstar.

JoeWolf1I think he’ll be back to around his impressive rookie numbers. I think he’ll score around 19-20 ppg with 6 apg and 5 rpg. Sacremento is going to be a team that can score points, with Thornton and Jimmer with Reke on the wing and Cousins on the block, I don’t see Reke needing to score more than 20 ppg, but I think he’ll up his assist numbers because neither Thornton or Jimmer are great distributers.

HitsterParticipantHopefully Evans should be back up above 20ppg and I could see his assists increasing as Hickson and Cousins continue to develop and he’ll be creating for Jimmer and Salmons also so maybe he’ll be nearer to say 8apg. The key thing for him is to play as full a season as possible say 70 to 75 games. Having had the off season to rehab his ankle then he should be back stronger and with more options on the team he will not have to carry the scoring as has been the case on some occasions over the last couple of seasons.
With more options on the team they can spread the ball more and use Cousins’s physical presence with back up from Hickson to create problems inside and then open up opportunites for the shooters on the team. Tyreke can look for the quality pass as he should have more room and learn to make better PG decisions as his all round game develops.
Also with Jimmer in particular on the team then Tyreke can mabe cut his minutes down to about 35 mpg as playing 37 mpg is quite a heavy work load for a guy in his first two seasons nd getting his minutes down a little could help him hugely long term

iguapops420ParticipantEvans isn’t going to be the scorer he was rookie year until he gets a consistent J, can’t anyone see this? He got by scoring points his rookie year by playing PG and steam rolling players to the rim. As a 2 guard he doesn’t have that kind of consistent mismatch to get to the rim at will. Teams last year were literally just backing off Reke and DARING him to shoot the jumper. Like I said, injury free he’ll have better PPG numbers than last year but still not going to have better numbers than his rookie year. NOT UNTIL HE GETS A J.
Simple as that.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantIDK about the jumper thing.. He is going to be able to get to the rim at will now because of Thornton and Jimmer.. You cant defend most people int he NBA 1 on 1.. You beat a scorer without a jumper with help defense.. If you cant help down, you cant stop Reke.. If his guys will step up and make jumpers, he will be great..

iguapops420ParticipantSo as the 2011 finals proved, simply zone up and cut the ability to drive off. I could be wrong, but I think he’s not going to have nearly the opportunites to score as much and will be expected to taske what the D gives him. Ever think you’d say LBJ couldn’t drive the ball either?
BTW, Reke NEVER passes unless it’s a final resort. For all the crap Monta Ellis gets about only getting 6 assists per because of having the ball so much, nobody ever take sit into account that Reke does the exact same thing.
