Obama to blame for Rondo’s bad shooting?

Hopefully he can spend the lockout tweaking his form and perfecting his overal game. He’s so quick that he would be unstopable with a solid jumper.

Who is writing him off? Everyone knows that he is an all-star caliber point guard. It was not his fault that the Celtics didn’t advance.

 No one is even bringing up the main point of this thread, Rondo was CRUSHED by the ribbing of PRESIDENT OBAMA. At first, I am inclined to say "nut up" but really when you look at it, Obama was such a huge inspiration for many young African Americans that if Rondo held him up to such a high regard and as a personal hero, that kind of comment would probably crush me too. Also, the way Obama jokes around through his tone of voice and mostly facial expressions, it does seem a little condiscinding (I don’t think that is the correct spelling, kinda drunk haha)

I doubt Obama was even being malicious. He was probably just doing what a lot of his teammates did. Most of America has been saying Rondo is great, Rondo is amazing BUT he can’t shoot. I hope Shaq is just making this up for attention because if this is all it takes for Rondo to fall apart then Rondo is way more fragile than I thought and I really like his game because he plays within himself.

 I can’t speak for Rondo, but if someone I held in high regard cracked a joke like that it would motivate me to get better and work harder on that aspect of my game.

Well… Rondo’s shot has always been bad. It’s not like he was a great shooter and after Obama cracked a joke all of a sudden his shot went to garbage.

 I dont understand why Rondo has not worked out with one of the shoot doctors that has helped derrick rose and westbrook improve their shot. If he can work on his mechanics and shorten up his shot he can make a huge improvement from last year. He has the money to pay for the help and with the lockout he has the time. Hes already one of the top playmakers in the league, if he can develop a consistent mid-range jump shoot he can become a triple-double machine like Jason Kidd was when he was playing in New Jersey.
