Scottoant93ParticipantI feel BJ will have a better year next season, hopefully he’s working on his jumpshot with all the free time he has now. Nice video posts btw

yellowdunkerParticipantNBA players always makes the summer leagues look so easy…Players who only average 15-20 plays in a summer leagues and puts up 42 per game I see it done all the time…..

Memphis MadnessParticipantWill Barton had 52 last week in a Bluff City Classic game. Selby played in one game and had 28. But, BJ can play. 51 points in a summer league game is probably as difficult as hanging 50 plus on the Warriors. lol
Yesterday I posted that the Bucks could make a run at the 8th seed (not sure I like Philly too much especially if they trade Iggy) and they have a good trio of Jennings, Bogut, and Stephen Jackson. Some of the Bucks’ success will depend on their young role players like Larry Sanders and Tobias Harris.

kobyzParticipantBrandon Jennings remind me somewhat of a less stronger Derrick Rose, i like him as a player, i think he is mature, know how to run a team and has nice scoring talent and will only get better as a player, a lot of his bad outlook is because the Buck’s miserable offensive system.

NJHooper95ParticipantI dont think the bucks is a good team for him with Coach Skiles. Jennings needs to get alot stronger and I think under the right system or coach he can be mention among the top guards in the league. Im not impressed by the summer league, because he has already shown he can hit 50 in an real NBA game. He has talent but next year might be a make or break season for him.
Theres always another young pg coming out of college!!!

R-Dot-13ParticipantJust by looking at that video, his jumper looks a lot smoother and nice looking, for the last 2 years, his jumper sometimes looked my like a chuck then a shot, but he was always someone who can definetly get hot and put up points quick. One of my favourite players and I think and hope he has a really good season this year.

JNixonParticipantJennings needs more weight and strength. That’s what his attention should be towards. His jump shot is nice IMO, it can improve but it’s not a glaring weakness for him and I’ve never felt that it was. He’s always been an underrated shooter to me. His problem comes from his struggles finishing around the rim and defending, and those problems would be better alleviated if he got both bigger and stronger. He didn’t work on it this past summer, and on top of injuries he didn’t improve on his great rookie year. Jennings upside remains high, but he has to make improve physically to get there. And with the extra time the NBA looks to have, he would be well-served to use it to reach his upside.

Awesome-O-420ParticipantI remember a Morris Almond could put up 52 points and 51 points in the D-League and still couldn’t score 2 points in a regular season NBA game.
Granted BJ has already shown he’s capable of doing that in the NBA (51 points his rookie season if I remember right?) but still I’d take summer league with a grain of salt, it’s maybe slightly more talented than the D-league but not much more since the same guys usually participate in both events. Good to see that he’s staying in shape by playing though.

cward23ParticipantI think some people get caught up in summer league. Yes he is good and other NBA players are good thats why they are in the NBA but just because they scored alot in a summer league game doesn’t mean there game has all of sudden gotten better, it just shows how much they can score when they are one of the best players out on the floor with guys who aren’t good enough to mae it in the NBA.
Josh selby had 42 the other day
Grevius Vasquez had 39Most of the players guarding them either can’t play defense or wot for fear of being embarressed and aren’t even in half has good of shape as the NBA guy (NBA players have top notch trainers while the summer leauge guys even Euro league players trian with low level trainers or not at all after the season eneds)
