I just saw on Shaq’s Twitter’s page that he plans to Retire ..He said 3 years ago that the 2011 2012 season would be his last…But injuries seem to force him to do it earlier…This might be a premature announcement and we might be seeing Brett Favre type of thing..

Its this is true..This marks the end of a great career of 1 of the greatest and miss understood talents the NBA has ever seen..Shaq retires having won 4 titles and only 1 MVP Award..But if you look at his career stats he should’ve won a couple more MVP Awards…

It was about time the Big Mans career was catching up to him, he tried to push himself but just couldnt to it..

Hes a definite Hall Of Famer, hes had an amazing career

Plus, this is definetly not the last time we’ve seen or heard of Shaq, we know him to good for that, within time he’ll be on ESPN, NBATV, or TNT talking sh-t like Skip Bayless, lol

I guess he thought latching on with the Celtics would give him that 5th ring…

Its great seeing him go out on his own terms..The game will miss him..

NBATV Should create a show for him…

But as a massive Shaquille O’Neal fan, I will miss him. He is truly one of the last of his kind, and there has not been a Center as dominant as he was since he finally passed his prime his last few years in Miami. It is incredibly hard for me to rate many players ahead of him (I only rate two currently) and I think he cemented his place amongst the greatest Centers of All-Time. People forget just how dominant he was early in his career, he was truly an unstoppable force on offense. Game plans had to be made to defend him, and he carried many a team in his day to incredible levels. Yes, he had his Penny’s, Kobe’s and Wade’s, but the Big Fella made those guys lives that much easier. I would say there will always be an argument that he is behind Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Bill Russell on the Mt. Rushmore of Center’s, but in my mind he has to be there.

Great job Shaq.  Thanks for all the memories you gave us.  It was painful to see him barely able to get up and down the court.  He tried his hardest but father time caught up to him.  Anyways, please go et a talk show with Charles Barkley.  I know tons of people would love to hear you guys argue all day.

That dance video is just a little taste of how mobile and athletic he was for a 7’2 giant of man. The most dominating post force in the modern NBA era.

Btw he looks huge compared to Howard in this video…..

Not only is Shaq hilarious, but is without a doubt the most powerful dunker the NBA has seen.  I remember in his Orlando days he was doing things we’d never seen.  His size and strength combined will never be duplicated in this lifetime, imo

Whenever I think of Shaq now, I always remember that commercial when he was playing Scrabble in the car. "Shaqtastic, 29 points!" "Well what do you know! Shaqtus!"

My nost favorite player of all time. I wish him good luck in his next mission, undercover cop. (Does this mean we get more "Shaq vs." shows?)
