Ch13f23ParticipantIs it allowed or even possible to have 1 defensive and 1 offensive coach at the same time in the NBA?
What I mean literraly two head coach one for defenseand another for offense.
For example:
Since coach TIBS in CHI is more of a defensive coach, it would be nice if they hire Jerry SLOAN as their offensive coach. Why? Not only his a Chicago star but I think he could utilize Boozer to the same pick n roll he runs at Utah but now with Rose as the PG. Plus both Tibs and Sloan likes to play hard.
OR
Since LAL hired Brown to preach defense then they should make Shaw as coach on offense? Why?
So that LAL offensive scheme will not be totally changed cause Shaw is very familiar with the Triangle. And let Brown takes care of defense.

Charlie SheenParticipantThe problem is the players on each end…..coaches would collide in regards to rotation….Tibs for instance would prefer Brewer to finish games while Sloan would need Korver to spread the floor for the pick n roll…..The NBA isnt full of 2 way players which is why certain players are considered commodities

sheltwon3ParticipantI you can get the coaches to work together this could work because it happened unofficially in Dallas with Don Nelson and Avery Johnson.
