It is clear that with Avery Bradley at 25 was for the future.  They say it was a mistake but the thing about it is if in  2 years Bradley is like Lou Williams or Monta Ellis, it will be evident they are foolish.

I can’t stand how some of these guys have their bias.  I am curious about them making their opinions about guys now and if they wind up being right. There continues to be this whole thing about guys need to stay in school but in their same breath they say Singler stayed too long in school.  They also got mad at Sullinger and Barnes for returning to school.

This sound fake and selfish, they only want players they like coming out early.

These people also are saying Steve Nash was not a point when he came in.  He was a point guard but played behind Kidd and KJ.  He also was a great shooter so they played him more at a Danny Ainge Role but he did have some spot game where he average a good amount of assists.  They are trying so hard to get people to look at Jimmer as a point guard who could become Steve Nash.

I look forward to how they react when did does not come close to happening.  I can see him as Eddie House/Tony Delk/ Jeff Hornacek but seriously Steve Nash

They dog Tyler and the when he does well at the combine and measure well than they all on his jock.

    sheltwon3,

I never really payed attention to Steve Nash in college.  By watching Jimmer he sounds more like a scorer than a passer.  The Jeff Hornacek comparison might be really good.  I think Hornacek was a little taller (around 6’4) but he had a great scoring mentality, could shoot from anywhere, and hit a lot of leaners, off-balance shots, and tough lay-ups off the glass.  Not quite the range of Jimmer though.  Hornacek was a pretty good ball handler and passer.

If you go by college stats, Jimmer and Steve Nash pretty much put up the same numbers.  I have posted that here before.  It is interesting what you can come up with if you compare guys now to great players from the past.  For instance, Kemba compares favorably to Isiah Thomas (Thomas also won an NCAA title), and Derrick Williams compares favorably to Scottie Pippen.

If Jimmer improves his court vision, ball handling, and speed then he can be like Nash some, but I think he needs to pattern his game off of Jeff Hornacek.  Hornacek was basically a combo guard too, but with his creative scoring he turned himself into a great shooting guard, who could also create shots with others with his good ball handling and passing skills.

If Jimmer keeps working on his game he could be a cross between Jeff Hornacek and Stephen Curry.  Mark Price is also a good comparison.

I think he would be a good fit on the Jazz as a sixth man behind Devin Harris or he could play with Harris in a small backcourt.  At 3, they might want to take a look at Enes Kanter and then trade Paul Milsap.  Then take Jimmer at 12.

I was actually high on Jimmer early on but the more I watched him I realized he was a 2 guard.  That is why I don’t see the Steve Nash comparison.  Also I think in this NBA he may not get the chance even if he could be a Nash type.  Nash was in the perfect situation where he learned from 2 of the best point guards at that time for 2 years than got traded to a young Dallas team that really had no expectations.

He was allowed to grow. Jimmer will probably not have the same situation unless he drafted late or some team risked a lot and play him enough to grow without thinking about the immediate future.

There are some teams that could do that both most of those team don’t need a point guard.

The way Bradley is playing now really makes me look like a genius for saying all this before hand.
