RJay757ParticipantYup, Bynum is quicky becoming one of THOSE GUYS, but I don’t think he should be kicked out of the NBA or anything. Karma’s a b!tch (no wonder the guy can ever stay healthy)…

akhan786ParticipantI hate how everytime he doesn’t even offer a hand of help. He just walks away with a look on his face that says "what did I do?"
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:15pm #529731

NbanflguyParticipantha yeah well i might be exagerating, he shouldnt be kick out of the league, but for sure needs some sort of suspension and if he keeps doing this someone is going to get seriously hurt.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:19pm #529734

SteroidParticipantI guess a lot of people should be kicked out of the league then… If this happened on some thursday night game in november, there wouldn’t be 5000 threads about it.. Yeah, it was a bad play, but it is what it is. You guys overreact too much.

NbanflguyParticipantYeah i just said that in the comment before yours. Of course i dont want him kicked out of the league, but this is at least the 3rd time he has done something similair to this! Someone is going to get hurt if this continues.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:27pm #529742

Scottoant93ParticipantI mean I agree we’ve seen worse, No one should be banned but a supension and a fine will do
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:27pm #529739

SteroidParticipantYeah, I’m a Laker fan, but "kick this piece of &$#%#&@! out of the league" is overrating. Like I’ve said, we’ve all seen worse.
@scottoant93 Yeah, the Mavs beat the Lakers, but so what? It’s a big step, but it’s not like they’ve won a ring. So much for a perennial 50 win team to finally accomplish something. Congrats to the Mavs. The "raped" the Lakers.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:29pm #529743
fastforward322ParticipantI like how Lakers fans are defending Bynum on a play that was clearly meant to knock Barea on his ass just because he was frustrated. I’d like to see someone do that same stuff to Kobe and see if Laker fans still think its just playing "tough" D.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:30pm #529746

NbanflguyParticipantTony Allen playing defense is "tough" D. Bynum’s elbow drop in cheap and dirty as hell.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:36pm #529749

HaleParticipantAll 3 people he did that to got hurt too, although thankfully Barea did get up.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:36pm #529750

Scottoant93Participanthaha that was meant as a joke based on your picture relax. I know the Mavs have still a lot to prove, Lakers are a proven winner, I wanted them to go to the finals and kill the heat if no one else did.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:49pm #529757

SteroidParticipantNah, it’s cool man. Some people think I’m bitter about the Lakers losing or I’m trying to defend bynum automatically because I’m a Laker fan. I’m not worried too much. We have great people over the organization, and we won’t be down for long. Just a wake up call to re-evaluate things.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:50pm #529758

SteroidParticipantdouble post.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 4:59pm #529772

NbanflguyParticipant"We were getting embarrassed, they were breaking us down. So I just fouled somebody," Bynum said after the game. "I was just kind of salty about being embarrassed. … For me, it was embarrassing to have the smallest guy on the court keep running down the lane and making shots."
Thats what Bynum said after the game. Doesnt sound like he is sorry at all. We could easily see it happen for a 4th time next year.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 5:00pm #529774

Scottoant93ParticipantI agree, Lakers wont stay down long, I see them moving Bynum or Lamar possibly both in the near future for there stunts today. That was uncalled for from both of them, and I sure they try to make a run for dwight howard using them as pieces.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 5:04pm #529778

TallmanNYCParticipantHere is the real question: did Bynum just lower his value so much that the Lakers can’t trade him in a sign and trade for D. Howard? I think there is a very good chance that Bynum walked off and took that Laker jersey off for the last time. The problem is that people in the league may know that the Lakers have to trade him and so won’t offer full value.
0 - Posted on: Sun, 05/08/2011 - 5:21pm #529791

HaleParticipantWow that was seriously such a douche thing to say dude.

BiggysmallsParticipantA Guy’s true character is really shown when things are not going well, Bynum, Odom, and the Lakers showed that today.
Bynum came off as a classless spoiled 270 pound child. Its a bummer because he can be a force when healthy. Odom’s in my opinion is a bit overblown because in a close game that may be looked at as a hard albeit stupid foul, but he wouldnt have been ejected. That was frustration and while not acceptable, not nearly as bad as Bynum’s.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/09/2011 - 4:29am #529902

JNixonParticipantJust because you guys are Lakers fans doesn’t mean what Bynum did wasn’t wrong. Goodness gracious. I hate it that just because you’re a fan of a team they can do no wrong :/. That was a dirty play. Nobody gives a damn that you’re a Lakers fan. Bynum thinks because he’s bigger than everyone else he can just foul guys that are in the air. It’s dirty. No matter if you’re a fan or not.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/09/2011 - 7:33am #529968

SteroidParticipantClarify which "Lakers’ fans" said that what Bynum did wasn’t wrong instead of putting everyone that category. I said it was a bad play, which it was, so how was that defending him? Oh, I guess because I didn’t go overboard and agree that he needs to be kicked out of the league, so that must be defending him, and it makes me a biased Lakers’ fan. Honestly, I don’t even want him on the team anymore because he’s an embarrasment to the organization. He’s a great talent, but there’s been chemistry problems with him and this team going all the way back to Kobe wanting him to be traded for Kidd. It pissed me off what he did because he embarrased my favorite franchise, but I’m not going to post &$#%#&@! agreeing that he needs to be ostrasized or something. I don’t care if my opinion is popular or not.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/09/2011 - 7:41am #529977

PlatypusParticipantOdoms foul wasnt that bad, his was a frustration in which he didnt intentionally try and injure Dirk, just a little contact, thats an understandable thing
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/09/2011 - 7:42am #529975

mikeyvthedonParticipantSteroid, obviously the title of the post was a slight overreaction. Still, when are you down by damn near 30 points, and a guy who is under 6 feet is driving at you, elbowing him in the rib cage is probably one of the last things you should be doing. It is beneath anyone, especially a two time champion, not to mention one who is 7 feet tall with a 7-7 wingspan. You can try and block the shot, but he had no intention of doing that, and while it may not have been the worst thing we have ever seen, it was incredibly dangerous and pathetic. Surely it should cost him some games next year.
I for one cheer for the Lakers, definitely over Dallas, but what Odom and especially Bynum did was incredibly reprehensible. It got them nowhere and just made them look like complete losers. Even the most diehard Laker fans should be able to admit that while kicking him out of the league is going overboard, what he did was incredibly stupid and deserves to be punished. The posts that have gotten negative reaction here are ones that clear Bynum of any wrong doing and make it seem like it was just a hard foul. It was not an accident, it was pre-meditated and dangerous, not to mention it made Bynum look like a total chump.
Hope that gives some clarification into "grouping all Laker fans together". I do not at all think that was his intent, he as well as many others just find it hard to believe that one can not step up to the plate when someone has made a mistake, which Bynum clearly did here. I am not saying you validated his actions, you did not elaborate enough to really do so, but you certainly made them seem a lot less serious than they were, hence peoples negative feedback. You have to take the good with the bad, and while the Lakers have had a lot of good, yesterday was a fairly low point in franchise history when Bynum made that incredibly flagrant and unneccessary foul. I do not care how frustrated he was, their embarassment was on themselves and he just made it all that more embarassing.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/09/2011 - 7:45am #529980

mikeyvthedonParticipantI was slightly surprised he was tossed, but looking at it now, it was so incredibly unnecessary. It was just such a punk move, it just made it seem like Odom was angry at Dirk for being better than him. Now, if you are going to let someone play so much better than you that you have to hit them to slow them down, you look incredibly ridiculous doing it when you are near 30 points down in a possibly series finishing game. It was not close to as bad as Bynum, but it was a really poor way to end your season, and he looked like a major punk for intentionally hitting Nowitzki, which he definitely did. It was not violent or dangerous, but it was really stupid.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/09/2011 - 8:15am #529984
clawlinParticipantAbout Artest’s little move in the closing moments of Game 2. The Lakers are a team that when winning, they broadcast themselves of a team with class in order to try and put them above the Heat and the Celtics. These are two teams that Laker fans criticize immensely. However, the Lakers showed their true colors, not only in this game, but across the series. Bynum is a chump and has lowered his trade value. Laker fans should not only be pissed at him for his terrible and condemnable behavior, but also for making it so the Lakers cannot get as much in return for him.
Not all teams have room for a headcase.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/09/2011 - 8:51am #529993
NYK2010ParticipantLakeshow isn’t here no surprise, he said no team scares him and that he’s not worried.
In Steroids picture it says Rape one big 3, hardly call a win in Game 7 of the Finals at home which came down to the wire w/out Perkins a rape. At least Steroid isn’t hiding though like some other Lakers fans, I see llperez is on here too which is good. The rest where are they.
The Lakers big 3 or 4 got smoked by the Mavs in every way in close games at home in blowouts etc. 3 of them Artest, Odom and Bynum showed no class in the end of games. Hopefully this sweep shuts up some Kobe fans who think he’s the greatest of all time.
