White ChocolateParticipantObvious choice here at #1 for the Cavaliers. They have already said that they want him whenever they go into the draft. Point guard of the future automatically I don’t really see anybody else that could go here except Harrison Barnes, but ultimately Irving will be the pick for Cleveland.
2.
*Minnesota | Enes Kanter | 6-11 | 261 | PF/C | Kentucky | 18A bit of a reach here at #2, but who else could really go here for the Timberwolves? Unless Irving falls to them here I see no other logical choice for them. They need a center and no matter what Khan says Darko Milicic is not their center of the future, if they take Kanter he would be great next to Love.

3.
Washington | Harrison Barnes | 6-8 | 215 | SF | North Carolina | 18The Wizards would be very excited if Barnes was available for whenever they pick especially at #3. They need a small forward anyway and Barnes would be great for them. Would step right in right away and with Wall as his point guard who knows what he could do. They would both be great together for the future.

4.
Sacramento | Derrick Williams | 6-8 | 241 | SF/PF | Arizona | 19Most likely they would want Barnes to be here when they pick, but I am sure they would be happy with Williams anyway. A much better fit next to Cousins than Sullinger would be. A potential number one pick available at #4 I don’t think they could ask for much more. The Kings need a small forward and a power forward he could play both.

5.
Toronto | Terrence Jones | 6-8 | 244 | SF | Kentucky | 19They would be a little disappointed if Kanter wasn’t here at #5, but they need a small forward to go next to DeRozan anyway so Jones would be a great pick for the Raptors. A finese lefty would be a nice addition to Toronto. They need to get a small forward anyway and not bad value here anyway.
6.
*Utah | Perry Jones | 6-11 | 235 | SF | Baylor | 19Reminds me of Thurl Bailey a lot, we all know how good Bailey was for the Jazz. With Hayward at shooting guard for them they are going to need a small forward for whenever Kirilenko leaves and Jones has the most potential you could ask for and a 6-11 small forward is a real nice commodity to have.
7.
Detroit | Alec Burks | 6-6 | 191 | PG/SG | Colorado | 19A little bit of a reach here at #7, Detroit would have their choice of any point guard besides Irving that they want. Burks gets the nod here because he can play shooting guard and whenever Hamilton leaves, Burks would be a nice replacement. Also they could try him out at point guard and if that doesn’t work leave him at shooting guard.

8.
*Cleveland | Jared Sullinger | 6-9 | 286 | PF | Ohio State | 19Cleveland wouldn’t be shocked and very excited both if Sullinger fell to them with their second lottery pick. The hometown kid wouldn’t really fit in with the cavaliers since they have Hickson, but you can’t pass him up if he was here if you are the Cavaliers, great value for Cleveland with Irving too.

9.
Milwaukee | Jan Vesely | 6-11 | 230 | SF/PF | Czech Republic | 20They potentially are going to need a small forward moving toward the future because Maggette is definitely not their small forward for the future. A high flying small forward who would be great in Milwaukee with Jennings as his point guards feeding him the ball and throwing alley-oops to him on the break.

10.
Charlotte | Brandon Knight | 6-3 | 185 | PG/SG | Kentucky | 18Charlotte would have their choice between Knight, Fredette, and Walker so whichever one they pick they can’t really go wrong. Undersized point guards haven’t worked out for them so I see them going for size in a point guard and Knight is tall and a great point guard and he could play shooting guard every once in awhile.

11.
Golden St. | Jonas Valanciunas | 6-11 | 240 | C | Lithuania | 18They need a center very badly, they already have three power forwards, and a center would help them out very much. Valanciunas would be a good player for Golden State if they picked him, great size for a center and would be the player that the Warriors have been needing for awhile now.

12.
*Utah | Jimmer Fredette | 6-2 | 195 | PG | BYU | 22I could see the Jazz taking Jimmer at #6, but ultimately that would be a reach, and I don;t think he would be the best player available for them. At #12 they would be very excited I think, definitely a better pick for them lower in the lottery. A great system guy and would be a very nice player for Utah.

13.
*Phoenix | Kenneth Faried | 6-8 | 225 | PF | Morehead St. | 21Tried to get Paul Millsap from the Jazz at the trade deadline and they need a power forward. Faried reminds me of Millsap so they would get their power forward and the type of player they want. Not really a big reach for Faried in the late lottery, would be a nice player with Nash for however long it would last.
14.
Houston | Kemba Walker | 6-0 | 172 | PG | UConn | 20Ultimately they need a center, but there is not one worthy of taking in the lottery at this point. So they go with a potential back-up/starting point guard. Walker is Houston’s type of sytem guy and a very good player. Would challenge Lowry for the starting point guard position, not a bad problem to have for them.0 - Posted on: Wed, 03/23/2011 - 5:57pm #513009

Tha_PrinceParticipantSullinger would be a great pick up for the Cavs, but at #8 he definitely won’t be there, I don’t see him sliding past 5. Plus as a Raps fan I’d take Perry Jones over Terrence Jones anyday.

butidonthavemoneyTerrence Jones would be a mistake for the Raptors. He doesn’t fit what they need at all.
Perry Jones is not a small forward, and he’s not the defender Bailey was. Jones’ best-case scenario is Andray Blatche without the character issues.
Alec Burks is even less of a point guard than Stuckey. I do think he might be a good pick for Detroit, though.
Jared Sulliger and Jonas Valanciunas are way too low.
Solid mock.

dmo21ParticipantWhy do most people have the Bobcats choosing a point guard? They have Augustin and Livingston who are still quite young and can get better and plus they have Captain Jack who likes to handle the ball.. I’d rather see them go big with Jonas or Montie as their center is Kwame Brown right now… It would be cool to see them draft Montie and to have that team running and gunning with Augustin, Henderson, Jackson, Thomas, and Montie…

NickWayne87Participantshouldn’t be taken into account until draft order is set..

GrandmamaParticipantTeam needs shouldn’t be taken into consideration until the order is set? So if we look at NBA teams right now we have no idea what their team needs are, but once the draft order is set team needs magically appear? "NBA, where amazing happens"

lalailaParticipanti don’t think pistons would pass on both Jonas and Jared, also don’t like no Motiejunas in the lottery..and as for Perry people are so low there on him, i have heard cavs had him as a #1 and only in recent week Kyrie have became new top selection..and it’s hard to see lack of desire or low motor in the individual workouts, they will see his athleticism size versatility so watch out Perry to rise…
what i like the most is Harrison in Washington and Williams in Sacramento, probably would be starters from day 1, and i also have Jan to Milwaukee
