CardiacKidParticipantI read earlier that Kemba’s stock could be in jeopardy because off Jonny Flynn and his ineffectiveness to translate to a true NBA PG from a College scoring PG.
Well if thats the case does Adam Morrison effect the stock of Jimmer Freddette as a great college scorer with no athletic ability who plays on a mid major team and is drawing unlikely comparisons to HOF’s or future HOF’s as Freddette has been compared to Steve Nash and Stephen Curry.
I am not too high on Jimmer as a potential Curry or Nash and I think if chosen too high will be considered a bust like Morrison. Its obvious he is going in the lottery behing Irving and possibly Knight and slightly ahead of Kemba and Selby
So does that Walker/Flynn comparison make you think Jimmer can end up like Morrison minus the 2 rings

The Splash DocParticipantThat made my opinion on Jimmer a lot more skeptical

OhCanada-ParticipantThe Walker/Flynn comparison was off. 2 completly different players. Just like the Morrison/fredette comparison is off, they are also 2 different players. You can compare players to guys who are completly different, Morrison has half a foot on fredette.

HotSnotParticipantKemba Walker’s game appears alot closer to A.I. then it does to Flynn’s. Hesitations, speed, break down ability etc etc. I never liked A.I.’s game as far as "team play" was concerned but Walker’s skill is so high and his athletic ability should have no trouble in the league. Eric Bledsoe last season was considered "not NBA ready" and he’s provided legit contributions to the Clips this season. Not an all world beater by any means but he’s holding his own as a rookie.
As far as Fredette is concerned,… when are people going to stop saying that "he has no athleticism? Jimmer is pretty powerful in his frame (like DWill’s build) and more explosive then he displays when he plays. Its there when he needs it but will never be top of the line. He’s just slightly too "stiff" and not always fluid but the man gets it done no matter how athletic the defenders are that are on him. Steph Curry is MUCH smaller then Jimmer (but more crafty… at this point) and teams were doubting him. The thing about players with average hops and speed is they have learned to develop all around skills instead of relying on explosive one dimensional moves. A ball player is a ball player a Jimmer knows how to get it done. He may not be a tradional guard and alot depends on the team that drafts him but if he gets starters minutes (eventually) he sould be good for 20 (fairly efficiently) down the road.
