LazarusMunozParticipantIn 26 minutes of action he goes 12 for 17 from the field for 28 points……..but he grabs 1 freaking rebound!
An Avery Johnson team and your starting center grabs one board!

BKKnicksfanParticipantWhen Eddy Curry played he was a average rebounder

BigDParticipant^^^ Love when people don’t realise sarcasm.

BKKnicksfanParticipantI understood it was sarcasm, I just felt Curry wasn’t a bad rebounder. Relax man.

KayjayParticipantI don’t get it. There are rookies that rebound better. It could be he’s having a bad season. But Idk lol. One rebound. As a center, I never heard of that. AND AS A STARTER…REALLY!? smh. D ;

gregoden08ParticipantIs so talented offensively, but yeah he is rebounding at a terrible rate. No excuse for a 7 footer with his length and skill set to only get 1 rebound. That just shows that he doesn’t pursue ball enough and is only content on scoring.

gregoden08ParticipantCurry was not an average rebounder. His career high in rebounding was about 5.5 and he played 30 mpg. That is well below average.

SteroidParticipantEddie Curry averages 5.3 reb for his career. 7reb for his season career high w/ 35 min played. That’s very mediocre, at best, for a center. 8-9 boards is average rebounding for a starting center, in my mind. I think what Lopez is doing is below average.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantThis is getting a bit ridiculous. Yes Brook Lopez is a piss poor rebounder, everybody gets it by now. Does this really need a new thread every couple days?

BKKnicksfanParticipant2 points
1) Can I say something without critism? Eddy Curry is a average to below average rebounder. I never said he was great. His career average is low because he hasn’t played recently AND the fact two of his seasons, he averaged 4 rpg but that was his second season (barely averaged 20mpg) and the Knick season when he had wieght issues and played opposite Zach Randolph. Like….relax. Also, if 8-9 rebounds per game is the average…there’s only 21 players in the NBA who average over 8 rebounds or more. Go look it up.
2) Can we stop making Lopez post? We know he’s a bad rebounder….he was bad as a rookie. His numbers were inflated because he had noone to battle with him getting rebounds on the low post. Coming out of Stanford, his issues was that he coast. He showed he can do it in year 1 and 2 and now with someone who’s hustling and grabbing rebounds…he’s coasting.
