Now we hear this from players almost every year. I usually say i don’t believe it and in this case i kinda don’t believe it. I saw kinda because of the lockout that will probably happen. With that coming up i think it is possible that he does stay another year. If He does Ohio St would be pretty lethal

    Aron Craft-PG

    Will Buford-SG

    Laquinton Ross-SF

    Deshaun Thomas-PF

    Jared Sullinger-C

    Bench

Amire Williams-KMart type game  meaning blocks very well and bangs on people with authority

Shannon Scott- Alot like Craft but doesn’t shoot as well, gets to the whole better and is a true PG( only seen him play once)

Sam Thompson- Plays alot like lighty and if Ross slacks he will be more than happy to step into his spot

Try McDonald- Ive never seen him play but i heard he is a Hustle guy who plays like Dallas

And of course the bench that they already have there, we will see who steps up

Yea, I dobut once someone gets in his ear and tells him he’s probably a top 3 pick…he’s good as gone.

But completely agree that their team would be lethal. Kentucky and Ohio State would both have to be the teams to beat. Players do say this every year though, and it might be hard to pass up going pro, as I have a feeling the lockout will not completely crush the 2011-12 season. Not to mention that seeing as these players would have yet to sign contracts, they could still go to Europe and make money playing. Their team this year is already a beast, another year under his belt and they would more than likely be the team to beat again. Kentucky would have some great young prospects, but good luck with any of them stopping Sullinger.

Craft looks like a good point made some good plays. Sullinger’s father (they seemed to have a tight nit family structure) said that the same path that took him to Ohio State will be the Same path that takes him to the NBA. So if that means patient and learning how to acclimate to college for 2 years so be it. And accorinding to Thad Matta Sully has a great college body, but with improved conditioning/ fine tuning his skill set with one more year in college should make him NBA ready the moment he steps on the floor.

Wizkid- Ironic, because Sullinger has about as much a chance of being a good NBA player as Jonny Flynn did.

How is Jared Sullinger going to be bad?  He is this years demarcus cousins without the terrible attitude and isn’t as fat as cousins was at this point in the year.

He isnt close to the rebounder cousins was. He isnt as tall as Cousins. And Cousins isnt a good player in the NBA either.

Watching the Ohio State-Purdue game last night..1 of the announcers compared Sullinger to Tyler Hansbough…I do see some similarities in their games..

As long as NBA teams think he will be good ( which they do) thats all that matters. Espn did a Highschool/ College rebounding thing that showed top prosprects rebounding translates to the Pro’s. Anyone could end up good or bad but the concensous with this kid is he’s gonna be a very good NBA player which i agree with. So far theres zero proof to suggest other wise

Yeah he goes hard Like Tyler. I like Draftexpress scouting on him. Says he’s between Millsap,Brand,Scola,Love  at 6’9 with a 7’1 wingspan

He is Hansbrough. Millsap and Scola both have jump shots. Sullinger doesnt. Comparing him to Love is hilarious, love is averaging 15 RPG and hitting 3s. Brand is comparable, but again, people were comparing Barnes to like TMac and stuff. Comparisons mean nothing. I know he does all his scoring in the paint, lead by bailout fouls that dont happen in the NBA, and hitting layups over 6 8 White guys. He has no star potential at the next level.

Sullinger doesn’t have a jump shot?..thats funny because every scout that has watched him says he has a jump shot. And you copmpare him to guys at the same stage not what they are now. That makes zero sense to compare him to love no since love is in ther NBA and Sullinger is in college. Oh Yeah Boozer had a worst Jump shot then Sullinger does now when he was a freshman. Theres this thing that NBA players do called summer workouts where they make other parts of there game better. Examples

Boozer had no jumper as a Freshman and now he has one in the NBA

Rose wasn’t a good jump shooter in college and at first int he NBA and now he has a jumper

Udonis Haslem had No jumper and look at him now…..a jumper

Sullinger actually has a jumper which he has shown here and alot in college which scouts all agree that he has but just doesn’t show it much because he doesn’t have to on this team which makes perfect sense ( why shoot a jumper when you can’t be stopped down low)

You more than welcome to you’re opinion that he has no star potential in the Pros ( just like i feel the same about the ball hogging no defense playing, can’t get a win against good teams Austin Rivers) because everyone is entitled to there opinion right or wrong

Sullinger is actually a pretty good shooter with a little bit of range, he just rarely shows it at OSU.

He rarely shows it in college…so he rarely shows range in college but im suppose to believe hes going to have it at the next level? Ive seen him play, and not once have I denied he is a good college player. But he does absolutely nothing Tyler Hansbrough didnt do 2 years ago. And LAKE SHOW, Rivers we will have to see what he does at College, at this point i dont think Its fair to say anything about what his NBA potential is.

Hes hit 3 3s this season. 2 of them yesteerday in that walkthrough vs Purdue.

And LAKE SHOW, if that was a shot at the Rivers photo, thats fine. Because if anyone is overrated, its the Lakers.

I think it’s great that Sullinger is staying but there’s no way that next year’s team is good. One of the reasons this OSU team is so good is that every player complements/protects everyone else so well. Sullinger would be great no matter what, but he’s especially successful due to Diebler/Buford’s elite shooting ability. The reverse is also true. Sullinger is more confident at PF with the shot-blocking Lauderdale at center, and DeShaun Thomas shoots way too much, as frequently as any player in the country with the ball in his hands, but that’s excusable because he comes off the bench.

Next year Sullinger will be forced to play center, and no one on that team is a shot blocker. They won’t be nearly as good shooters and much more erratic with Thomas in the starting lineup and less experience overall. Still a top 10 team but this year’s squad is special.

Yeah Winning back to back Titles is OVERRATED..lol   And Sullinger hasnt needed to show it. Ohio St is 20-0 with Sullinger scoring mostly from banging downlow so why does he need to shoot jumpers?….thats like telling Shaq he should have to shot jumpers when he is killing people downlow while his team is winning titles
