llperezKansas has been pissing me off this year. They have defeated arizona, ucla and usc all in close games. Now its on the bears to save some face for the conference. Cal is the worst of the 4 teams kansas will face, but mike montgommery is a great coach and cal is at home. Looking forward to watching.

llperezcal can play d. But their offense can dissapear for long stretches. Markhuri sanders frison is their best go to guy probably down low.

JoeWolf1I remember Guiterrez from last year when KU played them, he is a feisty defender.

llperezgutierrez is a very good defender. Hes had a lot more put on his shoulders this year with all 5 starters leaving. But he is not gonna takeover games or anything. Hes just very solid and the type of competitor you want on your team.

But then max was pressured into staying in china by the national team over there if he wanted to remain in their national program. He would have been a significant part of cals team this year had he stayed.

JoeWolf1He was soft but could have been a 2 + blocks per game player , IMO. Cal’s running with a 6’7” center, so any size would help.

JoeWolf1I know it’s only 2 games in, but Selby really isn’t a point guard, nor is he going to be playing much of that position at KU. Taylor is going to fill that role, I really don’t know what to think of him as a pro prospect at this point. He’s good, but I don’t know how high teams are going to want to reach for a combo guard, he could improve his point guard skills, but at this point in his career I’d have to say his comparison is Ben Gordon with better D.

llperezhave to see how he looks taking guys off the dribble. I dont mind if combo gaurds can handle the rock and take their man becasue they can always adjust to pg in the nba. But right now selby looks like a catch and shoot guy.

JoeWolf1He can run the break alright and last game he looked to feed the post, but I have yet to see him set up the offense this year. He’s not a ball hog, Sherron Collins was a clutch dude, but he was a ball hog I’m glad to see Selby is more unselfish with the ball.

llperezthats how i looked at guys like jrue holiday or russell westbrook who didnt play pg in college, if they can handle the rock and get by their man, then they can play point. Gilbert arenas was another good example of that.

Selby also won the Mikky D’s Dunt Contest. He is only going to get better as the year goes on and he got PG skills atleast from a ball handling stand point he reminds me of Francis or Baron Davis.
