sheltwon3ParticipantI have to definitely give him his props. I did not realize he improved his outside shooting that well.

QUINCEY HODGES1i would have added gasol but he hasn’t stepped up lately so ill replace him with Westbrook. He had a monster night last night with 29pts 10ast

sheltwon3ParticipantI saw a few games where he played poorly and did not shoot well like against the Knicks early on. I did not see his outside improvement but I know he can score at will going to the basket but last night he was on a mission plus Lakers are in a slump because they should average at least 95 point with their current line up. Bynum will only help so much.

QUINCEY HODGES1Lakers will be alright. no worries there since they always step it up for the playoffs and are pretty beatable by any team int he regular season

sammybuckeye13ParticipantOne of the things that’s not taken into account into MVP voting often enough is how the candidates play against the best teams. Almost all the time it seems like they pick the best player on the best team (which lots of time does make sense), but regardless, it seems like they just look at broad stats.
Whereas it should be, wow, Rose really stepped it up against the elite teams that he could be playing at some point in the playoffs, willing his team to victory over the Lakers, for example, or (and this is a random hypothetical) Durant, looking back on it, scored a lot on bad teams and didn’t show up as much against the best. That needs to be taken into account.

JNixonParticipantI’m beginning to hop on the Rose for MVP bandwagon too. He’s simply been unbelievable for the Bulls this year. He’s special. He scores better than any PG out there, he has a very respectable jump shot from mid-range and now 3-point range, he’s a very underrated and unselfish playmaker, and he carries the Bulls and takes over games. He’s only average on D, especially for his physical and athletic gifts, but he’s not as bad as people like to suggest at times. He’s no liability on D, and he pressures the ball well when situations call for it. Special player. And he improves something every year. Next year he might develop into an elite defender, since he improves something every offseason. haha

SteroidParticipantI think Derrick Rose hitting those 3 pointers last night was more of him getting hot than anything. All of the threes were falling for the Bulls last night. It will take a whole season of being able to do that for me to believe that he can consitently hit 3 pointers, which I think is possible for him.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe separation between Rose and Williams/Paul isn’t that far in my opinion.
It’s possible Rose could pass Paul by the end of the season… Next season for sure.

QUINCEY HODGES1out works everyone during the off season?…the only way you know that is to be without every NBA player at there workouts.
My top MVP candidates right now is
1.Westbrook ( taking over games on offense while passing very well and doing work on defense)
2.Dwill (doing it on offense and defense while passing at a elite level)
3.Rose( taking over on offense and distributing very well)

sheltwon3ParticipantI think unless Orlando gets some better player around Howard, He will never get the MVP he deserves. It is not like their teams sucks but they don’t seem that great put together. They surprise people that one year and now everyone knows their tricks and they will some game off of sheer talent but I have never be high on Nelson and Howard being the perfect combo. Each is good in their own right but I use imagine say Rose, Nash, Wall, Rondo, Deron Williams or even Westbrook and Howard would be so much better. Howard would get easier buckets that would get him going early and he could consitently put up 40 point and get assists by throwing it to shooters. They try to do this sometimes now but Howard tends to have to work for a lot of his points.

marcusfizer21ParticipantDRose has been quoted "Why can’t I be MVP?" — people shrugged him off and didn’t take him seriously… But as a Bulls fan I always thought he had a chance because his confidence has been unquestionable… He has been working real hard and I think the reward is paying off right now… Top 5 MVP candidate is already an honor..

Especially for the coaches when it’s free throw time during practice.
