TooNice4TVParticipantDid anybody watch the finish to this game? It was insane. Boise st. aired a pass down field with 9 seconds left, ended up at the 7yard line with a ridiculous diving catch and called a time out with 2 second left. Then the kicker MISSED the FG from about 26 yards out.
Overtime.
Boise St. got the first possession and the chance to score on their part of the drive. From about 29 yards out the kicker MISSED the FG again.
Nevada got the ball back, and kicked it from the 34 yard line and won the game.
I feel bad for the kicker at Boise St. He’s about to die on the way back there. And for some reason I think he did it to shave points. Twice in a row? Come on.. lost your shot to the NFL if anything, and even worse if you lose an NFL career to shave points if that’s what you were doing

Meditated StatesParticipantThe kid on Nevada fumbled the punt return when it was 24 to 7. Officials says he was not given room to catch when for 1 there is no rule if it’s not fair caught. The kid was scared of getting hit and u could see him step back. Boise would have been up 31 to 7,but Nevada scored and cut the lead 24 to 14. That was one of the worst calls I have ever seen. The tv play by play caller was saying he was unsure of the call because the kid dropped it wich he did and there is no space rule without a fair catch.

WizardofOzParticipantI was hoping that before the game that Auburn or Oregon would lose so Boise St. could have a chance to play in the National Championship game so they could have a chance to prove to the people that didn’t think that they deserved to make it that they did deserve to make it. If Auburn or Oregon lost, Boise St. would have moved to #2 in the BCS RanKings and if Auburn & Oregon both lost, then Boise St. would have moved to #1 in the polls, but Auburn & Oregon both won, and Boise St. lost. I guess Boise St.’s title hopes have faded, and after last nights lost, the kicker said "Bye Bye" to the NFL.

MkadozaParticipantHow can you say it was rigged? The Boise kicker straight choked. 2 misses from less than 30? Not stop Nevada AT ALL in the second half. I watched it, and Boise didnt do what it took to win that game.

Meditated StatesParticipantThat kickers career is over. I don’t think he will want to finish the season. I feel bad for the kid,but his team got screwede cause he could not make 1 out of 2 inside the 29 yard line.

TooNice4TVParticipanti still think the boise st kicker was shaving points. if must have gotten a lot of money choosing that over a pro career haha.

Umm yes there is. If your a punt returner you can’t get hit before you touch the ball. I didn’t see the play but that’s legit reasoning.

HaleParticipantJust saw the play, the reasoning doesn’t apply to that situation. He had time to catch it and he was already dropping the ball when he was hit. Rule doesn’t apply there and that should’ve been a fumble.

Sonny RedParticipantI watched most of the second half, it was a great game. I think they said the kicker for Boise had a record breaking career or year too, he wont be feeling good for a week or two.

CodySLCParticipantBoise has showed over the last few years they are a really good football team. But this game only proves more that strength of schedule matters. They couldnt handle a ranked team let alone a top 10 school. Thats why the wont even make it to the BSC championship game, they cant get it done vs good teams.

llperezboise did beat virgina tech this year who sits atop the big east and is ranked top 25. Boise did beat Oklahoma who was top 5 a few years ago. I wouldnt make too much of this loss. But yeah, i think boise losses 2-4 games a year if they played in a major conference. But they shouldnt feel bad considering what they have accomplished without nearly the recruiting other big schools get.
So it looks like it will be oregon vs auburn. Who do you guys like if that does happen?
