    Hey I was just thinking,

Since Millsap is having a huge year, averaging a double double, what happens when Memo comes back. Will Memo team up with Jeffersin forcing Millsap to come off the bench once again? If this does happen, would it force Utah to trade Millsap. And if so, what are some possible scenarios were Millsap would start. (Maybe Indy or Cavs, or Raptors or Suns)

Or would Memo come off the bench and him and Miles would be spark plugs off the bench. In other words which lineup is more possible when Memo comes back? Dwill/Watson, Bell/Miles, AK/Hayward, Millsap/Evans, Jefferson/Memo or Dwill/Watson, Bell/Miles, AK/Hayward, Jefferson/Millsap, Memo/Fez

Seems doubtful, but they might have that line-up on the floor at times, I mean when Portland wanted Millsap he was undoutedly going to play some time at the 3 spot. Seems like Utah still has a lot of issues getting consistency from their wing players, more so offensively than d’ing up, but it is still an issue. But I think the last thing you suggested, which is having Mehmet come off the bench, will more than likely be the best alternative. Millsap may not be the quickest player a foot, but he is no slouch, and should not get blown by consistently when guarding SF’s. He is not an amazing outside shooter, but he has a pretty money mid range game he has worked on, and of course his toughness on the boards is always a great thing to have on the court. I think getting Mehmet back will make the Jazz just that much more versatile, and he always spreads the floor and tends to play out in the perimeter regardless, so it should not be a huge shake-up offensively. My biggest question is, what happened to Kirilenko? He is still a good player and all, but he was an All-Star his 3rd year in the league, and ever since 2007 his scoring has dipped to around 12 per game. He was always considered more of a defensive player, and an incredible shot blocker for an SF, but even that has dipped as time has passed. I know he has had issues with injuries, and is not as explosive as he was as a younger player, but still have to kind of wonder why his role diminished rather than expanded. He was an All-Star at 22 years old, and just never really improved on that season.

Milsap at SF iI think would be horrible idea. jeffferson and memo are already weak defenders. Then you add Milsap as a SF. Those 3 on the court together would be bad idea. I think memo needs be a spark plug. sayoing Milsap at the 3 is like saying a one legged man would beat Usain Bolt.

Why would you trade someone that is posting career highs and having a breakout season. What your saying is since Millsap is playing well, maybe its a good idea to try to trade him. For what, what are you looking for. Usually players get traded for underachieving not overachieving. Okur can easily get minutes at PF-C if they limit Jefferson and Millsaps minutes to 32-mpg each. That would allow Okur to get 32-mpg each at PF-C which is more then enough time. It maybe better to only give him about 20-25 mpg as he eases into the lineup.

have all 3 man big rotation, then if they two of them need a rest they have Elson and Fesenko to play center and Ak47 can play the powerforward, and let Okur come off the bench to stretch the floor

    PF – C

    Milsap – Jefferson (start)

    Milsap – Okur

    Okur – Jefferson

You’re a Jazz fan and talking about trading Millsap? Smh… I’m not a Jazz fan and even I know just how great he’s been playing this season. He’s not going anywhere.

No oh canada, what i am saying is this. Millsap is having a great season because he is starting right now. But once Memo comes back and if Coach Sloan decides to start Memo with Jefferson, then Millsap would of course come off the bench to replace Jefferson. This would of course decrease his averages, thus causing the Jazz to think of possible trade routes for 2 reasons. One so they don’t have an severely overpaid bench player and 2 so Millsap can average what he is capable of with another that would preferably start him. (This was also somewhat of an issue last year, since he was also a bench player, but of course no trade happened) Not all players are because they are underperforming. That could also be unhappy in the current situation. Take KG in Minny, or Melo, or Iggy, or Kevin Martin in Sacramento for example.

If Millsap were traded once memo comes back, what I think the Jazz would be looking for is a starting 2, that could really be good next to Jefferson and Dwill.

And Mr19134, why would you even think of trading Jefferson before Millsap? Yes Millsap is certainly doing much better than Jefferson right now, but Millsap and Dwill have played together their entire careers so far (about 5 seasons, I think), so they have a ton of chemistry whereas, Dwill and Jefferson have only played together for 6 games. So of course they have no chemistry but should able to develop a ton of chemistry later on. So right now I’d say the only person I would trade once Memo comes back is Millsap but only if Okur and Jefferson are starting together. If Memo comes off bench, then no trade should happen.

I wonder if Okur would be okay with his role being diminished to a bench role this year? Which would then cause Memo to seek a trade. Once again I think the Jazz would look to get a starting 2 that would be excellent alongside Jefferson, Dwill (Maybe Minny or New York, or New Orleans, or  OKC, or Toronto, Cleveland, Pheonix there are a myriad of teams that would start Memo at the 5 if they had him)

Millsap is my man. He was always going to replace boozer. Some may argue he had a better post season then booz. But for what ever reason KOC thought lets get a freaking nother power forward to play next to boozer. With ak contract of the books this summer and if we had the money that booz left us instead of big al….. Millsap could be playing next to oden(when he is healthy) or better yet Marc Gasol.  and still have money to sign finally a wing player to run with d will

Now I like big al. But millsap always was and will be the better option in the pick and roll. Just my thoughts

As of right now Millsap is the Jazz second most productive player.  Also he doesn’t have a huge contract weighing down the team. A extremely fair 4 years 32 mil. I take Paul Millsap over Al Jefferson. Mostly likley thing will be a really good 3 man rotation with Okur coming of the bench playing 22-25 minutes a game.

I agree that Millsap is a keeper.  Okur is too complacent with shooting from the perimeter all day and doesn’t go to the post enough, although he does do a good job on the boards.
