Can New Orleans Hornets keep up their outstanding play

cp3 didnt have much talent a few years ago when they were the 2 seed, i think they are a better team now. that doesnt mean they will be a 2 seed but most people have been under rating chris paul because of the injuries. he is a top 5 player when healthy. i would take cp3 over anyone not named lebron, kobe, durant, or dwight. this is a team similar to phoenix as they can win a ton of regular season games. that doesnt translate to post season success but new orleans could no doubt win 50 games this year without injuries.

I’ve made a point of watching every Hornets game on League Pass, and I too have been thoroughly impressed with Paul’s play, he’s simply a brilliant player. He controls the pace of the game so well and doesn’t force anything. He has been shooting ridiculously well too. Paul has already proved to me that he remains far and away the best point guard in the League when healthy. If Paul and West can stay healthy they are making playoffs.

Chris paul is that good. Also, ariza gets to reclaim is role he had with the lakers where he doesnt get to dribble or create, just slash and spot up which is exactly what he should be doing. If they are contending by the all-star break they definately need to trade Peja for someone who can help them in the playoffs(Tayshaun Prince, Rip Hamilton, Kirilenko, Igoudala). I actaully like the two-headed monster of Belinelli and Thornton at shooting guard, as they are both very good volume scorers who can light it up in a hurry. Ariza doesn’t have to score to be that effective, he just has to play good d and hit the open shots that are given to him. West is scoring on quality shots and Chris Paul orchestrates everything…. I wonder how good of a season Jerryd Bayless will have????

I simply don’t understand how ANYONE could say Chris Paul isn’t the best PG in basketball. He consistently gets the Hornets to severely overachieve. It really speaks to how good he is. The guy is a top 5 player in basketball, and he can basically make a "chicken sh*t" situation into "chicken salad."

Last year, New Orleans was a good team when Paul was on the floor. He was never healthy, never 100%, but him simply being on the floor was the difference between them being awful and solid. If he stays healthy, they can compete in the West.
