StF616ParticipantWho Are Your Early Picks For Rookie Of The Year?
My Pick Is Blake Griffin, I Dont know Why Alot Of People Are Putting John Wall Ahead Of Him, i Understand He Was Injured Last Year, But He Is DOMINATING every game he has played on this preseason. A Couple Of Peoples Stats Are Actually Pretty Surprising
Anyway Here Are their Stats
1.Blake Griffin – 15.8 PPG 11.5RPG 65.8% FG
2.John Wall – 15.8 PPG 7.8APG 2.2SPG 40% FG
3.DeMarcus Cousins – 17.0 PPG 9.5RPG 45.6% FG
4.Jordan Crawford – 21 PPG 4 RPG 5 APG 48.1% FG 40.7MPG (Getting ALot Of minutes And Producing, Scored 13,20 And 30 Points Respectively)
5.Wesley Johnson – 12.3 PPG 1.7 RPG 1.7 APG 1.3 SPG 65% FG (Shooting A Pretty high percentage and has good production on only 21 MPG)
6.Evan Turner – 9.3 PPG 5.5 RPG 3.5 APG 26.7% FG 84% FT (The guy That Everyone thought would be the most NBA Ready Is Shooting An UGLY Percentage From the field, But He Does Show His All-Around Game with 5 rebounds And 3 Assists)
7.Greg Monroe – 10.0 PPg 5 RPG 2.3 APG 45% FG 80% FT
8.Al Farouq Aminu – 8.3 PPG 3.3 RPG 36.7% FG
9.Derrick Favors – 6.0 PPG 5.8 RPG 34.3% FG (Inconsistent Has Had Some Very Good Games With DOuble Digit Rebounds And Some no shows, Also Horrible Shooting Percentage)
10.Gordon Hayward – 7 PPG 2 RPG 2 APG 27.8%FG (Also Horrible Shooting Percentage)

RUDEBOY_ParticipantGreat Post..Wall,Cousins & Griffin had gotten off to a great start…If they stay healthy,it’ll be interesting to see who wins Rookie of the Year…
I’ll be surprised if Jordan Crawford continue to put up those stats.but if he does he’s making it hard for Jamaal to get an extension with the Hawks..
i knew Turner would start off slow..folks have labeled him a bust already..but he’ll be fine..the sign of a good player is when he’s struggling on offense he does other things..Turner has shown an all around game..
expect Wesley Johnson numbers to go down a little once the season starts..he might average 8 points for the season..so far he’s shown great shooting skills and athleticism, but hangs around the 3 point line way too much..still can’t put the ball on the floor and loses his man on defense..

mj23mj23besteverParticipanthe wont even average 15 let alone 21 imo i still think wall win roy with around 18 pg 8.5 as 3.5 reb and a couple steals not knocking griffin at all i look for a solid 15 and 9.5 out of him with a very high imo top 5 fg percerrange in the leauge is it off the wall to think cousins challenges for an all star spot this year kaman made it last year and cousin numbers this year ive got him at about 16 and 10 a night which is very close to what kaman was doing last year

hiphopismylifeParticipantI like Wall because i’m not sold on Griffin’s durability. I think he’ll be around 18 and 7, especially since it sounds like Gil will be traded.

MelParticipantPeople, myself included, forget just how good Blake Griffin is. It’s been over a year since we’ve seen him play consistently and just how dominant he was.
He is a freak lol. it’s like he’s jumping off a trampeline (sp?) If he is healthy I say he wins. The only problem is that Wall will have the ball in his hands from the gate and the game is called/ref for players like him (speed/quick draw fouls)
It should be a tight race. Maybe co-ROY like Francis/Brand. Maybe

LazarusMunozParticipantThe thing that scares me about Griffin is that his motor is so high,i just dont see how he can last 82 games…IDK if anyone caught The Clips/Spurs game last night, but Griffin is always banging into something or falling hard while going 110 percent full throttle! He really needs to slow it down a bit…With that said if he stay’s healthy he’ll average an easy double double this year! On the glass he has the strength of Malone with the instinct of Rodman…His offensive game it still unpolished right now,so i dont see him averaging more than 14-15 points a game this year

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantWhere is Jordan Crawford getting these minutes from? Behind M. Williams, Johnson, Ja. Crawford, Bibby, Teague?

JNixonParticipantMarvin Williams wouldn’t take his minutes. He’s a combo guard.
Mike Bibby and Jeff Teague play PG.
Joe Johnson can play SF if they choose to.
Jamal Crawford can play PG.
Jordan Crawford will probably play around 15 mpg next year, but his time won’t be limited because he’s playing behind all the players you listed. It will be because he’s not really ready to play more minutes than that, unless Jamal Crawford is dealt or something like that. Most of those guys don’t even play his position.

Mr. 19134ParticipantYou’re insane if you think Jordan Crawford averages ONLY averages 21 PPG. The Guy is leading all rookies in PPG thru 3 preseason games that must mean he is better then the rest of the rookies. Look at his name Jordan. DUH…Am I the only person who noticed that…Jordan Crawford will probably average around 28 PPG this year. Off the Bench at that!
Not but seriously I dont like calling names but I feel like i should start calling a few people out..but I wont…
FtF616 gave you guys everybodies preseason numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lemme repeat: He gave you guys their preseason numbers!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nobdoy every said Jordan Crawford would average 21 points a game. But in the preseason he is therefore they are the stats you see.
Some people really need to gain some reading comprehension skills some of you guys are slower then then dirt up there.
Anyways. I knew when they drafted Crawford if he were to play well that Jamal would be out the door. There is simply no room for two J. Crawfords on the Hawks.
And JNIXON was right none of them guys really play his position except for Jamal Crawford and to a less extent Jeff Teague. Crawford won’t get a lot of minutes at first but i expect Jamal Crawford to be deal soon freeing up time for Jordon. He really knows how to score. And could be a career sixth man in this league because he got the size and skill to play both guard positions and can light it up off the bench.
