     I’m not quite sure how much of a decision Utah made when they drafted Eric Maynor last year over Darren Collison. (back then no one expected Collison or Maynor to have such an impact on a team) But I wonder if they regret it now that Collison has blossomed. Should they have drafted Collison instead? If they did draft him would they have traded him midseason like they did with Eric Maynor. If Collison was drafted by Utah would he have experienced the same success as he did in New Orleans and now will experience in Indy. 

    I am certain that Collison was a major thought to Utah, because of his ability to pass the ball and be excellent in the Pick and Roll. He loves to move without the ball, and that is exactly what Utah’s offense depends on. He can pass very well just like Eric Maynor. Was this as tough decision as I’m sure Deron Williams over Chris Paul was in 2005? (I am not suggesting that Utah should have drafted Chris Paul instead, but merely comparing the decision of Eric Maynor over Darren Collison to the decision of Deron Williams over Chris Paul)

    Maynor wasn’t bad. They moved him to save salary. I believe he had like a 15 point-10 assist game before he got traded due to D-Willams being injured.

    I think Collison would have been moved as well. Utah really wanted to relief salary at the time ( I don’t know why) but they did.

    dc would go top 10 if the draft was done over, but no one saw that coming from him. Similar to NO, utah would probably look to deal collison for a quality player who could start at one of the other positions since no way is collison gonna be at his most value coming off the bench behind dwill.

     Collison reminds me of Darrel Armstrong…I think he could come off the bench.

    When Maynor had to come in for Williams he put up numbers somewhat similar to Collison for Paul (albeit not as good) he was traded solely for cap relief and the same would have happened for Collison

     R u Kidding me, has anybody ever saw Darrell Armstrong play???? or are you not old enough?

     

    If you ever saw Darrell Armstrong play and don’t think Darren Collison looks and plays just like this guy you have no prior basketball knowledge.  They could be each other stunt doubles.  I think Collison is best suited as the starting PG.  But at the same time if he was on a team like The Jazz and was utilized as the leader of the second unit to provide both scoring, defense, and playmaking he’s the type of guy that you want coming off your bench for a championship run.

    Dc and Armstrong were kinda similar although dc is the better set up
    Man and Armstrong more explosive. Not by alot but by the same margin Westbrook is over rose. That’s a pretty good comparision though

     I think Collison reminds me more of Bobby Jackson than anybody.
