valentineI like Eric gordan but I’d include him for Anthony. Gordan may become a allstar but melo is a future hall of famer who can win games by his self. He can replace gordans scoring plus bring in rebounds and passes just as well. Of course the deal would have to include Chris k and draft picks which would be tough because Deandre Jordan hasn’t shown he’s ready to be a starter. The only untouchable would be Blake

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI wouldn’t give up Gordon AND Kaman for Melo. That’s not a good idea.
Plus, the Clippers have Minnesota’s 2012 1st round pick.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI wouldn’t trade both Gordon and Kaman for Melo either. It’d have to be one or the other, one of their prospects, and then the T-Wolves’ first round pick.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantIf I’m the Clippers, I would just look to shop Kaman. Kaman to Philadelphia for Andre Iguadala
Davis-Gordon-Iguodala-Griffin-Jordan
I think that lineup would be solid. The Clips could proabably look to add a cheap Center in FA to play reserve role. The Clips would have a solid team AND have a 2011 1st round pick and 2 NICE 2012 1st round picks. Don’t overthink it if your Clippers fans and GM

IndianaBasketballParticipantI thought the Clippers should’ve pushed hard to pursue Andre Iguodala this past summer instead of dreaming about LeBron playing in Kobe’s building.

sheltwon3ParticipantI would trade Kaman and Eric Gordon for Melo in a heartbeat. I like Gordon but pretty soon he will wind up being just another undersized shooting guard. People forget how fast Ben Gordon disappeared. Clippers have Randy Foye who at one point averaged 16 points. There are also a lot of swingman that will be available in the coming drafts. They can easily replace Gordon.

SteroidParticipantThat would be bad to give up Kaman, a good prospect in Gordon, and a pick on top of those two. Decent centers are hard to find, and Gordon would be a nice complementary player alongside a superstar like Anthony. I would be fine with giving up one, but not both. However, I would throw in Aminu though for whatever he’s worth. He has bust potential written all over him. Either he’s going to be a Josh Smith-esque forward, or he’s going to be a really bad tweener because he’s too raw. I do not see any middle ground with him. Also, I highly doubt any high profile superstar would want to play in Kobe’s shadow or a Lakers team who just won back-to-back, not just LeBron.

scoutguruParticipantYou guys really want Jordan as your starting center? Have you seen this guy play? This kid’s basketball IQ is non-existent. And I’m not gonna sit here and break down his game, but if you’ve seen him play, you know what I’m talking about. Ideally he’s your back up center, and in the best of worlds, your third stringer…

Do you not watch basketball? Other than last name, Eric is nothing like Ben. There’s a huge difference between the two in shot selection, unselfishness and defense. Ben is one dimensional, while Eric plays both ends of the floor.

sheltwon3ParticipantI was saying they both are undersized two guards. It if funny how some people can just jump to conclusions. I have even heard people calling Monte Ellis and OJ Mayo over rated and I know if both were taller this would not be the case.
I forgot Eric Gordon played at Indiana so I struck a cord. I like Eric Gordon but no way I don’t give up Gordon and Kaman for Melo. They can tend trade for Pryzabilla if they don’t want to start Jordan or pay Dampier more than he could get else where. also I am not saying LAC should give up a 1st rounder if they are give up two solid and possible furture All Stars for one top 3 or 5 player depending on where you put Wade.

IndianaBasketballParticipantEric has always been undersized, so I don’t know what you mean by "pretty soon" he’ll be just another undersized shooting guard. He’s undersized now and always will be. He’s held his own thus far at both ends of the floor. I don’t see that changing.
Unlike Ben, Eric has a 6′ 9" wingspan and is 222 lbs. He can defend three positions (depending on who the matchup at small forward is). He’s not going to disappear… Even saying Ben Gordon has "disappeared" is silly. He was just injured last season.
Other than that, I agree with you… I’d trade Gordon for Melo in a heartbeat as well.
