Lotto StudParticipantI would like to see him @ Florida but believe it or not it just seems like he will mesh well with Duke.

midwestbbscoutParticipantthat’s my comparison….except he is an even better shooter….
the reason I think Duke is because his family knows what’s up and that in the long run playing for Coach K will serve him best of all…..Kentucky might be tempting but they will make the RIGHT decision….

OhCanada-ParticipantYah Nick Youngs a dummy…but we arent taking into consideration where hes from and what he has done with his life. He isnt dumb like Hassan Whiteside dumb, he just isnt smart like Kobe Bryant. Alot of people are dumb, its not big deal. Young is enough smartness to able read this post, and get pissed off our comments and respond with proper grammar. <<<<-THAT WAS DUMB. So everytime we call him dumb, (which is slowly turning into a new thing at NBADRAFT.NET) we are overstating the fact.

Demarcus OnealParticipantHes not like D-Wade at all i dont see it at all please explain. Wade slashes to the rim and uses his strength and exploviness while Rivers is much more cerebal player and uses more skill and has nba three point range and relies on his shot alot while Wade is a slasher who has developed a nice mid range game.
Rivers is good but I think that as 6-3 combo guard his potential isnt as high as other guys i think Quincy Miller will be a much better pro player since the NBA is a league of using different matchups and Miller is mismatch nightmare at 6-10 with handles and athleticism of a sg

midwestbbscoutParticipantcan’t ask for much better than that….I’m not even giving him that kind of praise…..
he isn’t at all like either one though…..he is much more comfortable shooting off the dribble as opposed to both of those guys who like to run off screens….

flybobbyflyParticipantIm surprised he doesnt use his left to finish really. you would think that he would be pretty comfortable with it considering his handles, him being a combo guard, and a coaches son.
He has an unorthodox shot and a different style than anyone else playing the combo guard position in the league right now. Looking forward to what we get to see from him the next couple years.0 - Posted on: Fri, 09/03/2010 - 1:24pm #393331

RalwarezParticipantThis kid is REALLY good. He has the intelligence of a true floor general even – I would´nt be surprised, if he turns out combo-guard or even a pointguard, although he has superior shooting ability and scorers mentality – he can make a basket virtually from everywere and in every way.
But one flaw – as one already noticed – he does not use his left hand to finish – and that is a problem what needs to be fixed already before college game. He should only be able to lay it up with left hand, but also make a short shots, dunks etc.0 - Posted on: Fri, 09/03/2010 - 2:25pm #393400

His older brother Jeremiah plays the same way, but just not with as much confidence. He thinks too much.

stanford hoopsbecause you’re tall and can handle doesn’t mean you’re ceiling is higher or you’ll be a better pro a.Randolph is pretty versitile but he’s not a better pro then 6’3 Eric gordan

andxxxParticipantCan someone explain to me what makes michael gilchrist better than austin rivers. I mean I know he works hard on defense and offense and grabs more rebounds but Austin Rivers just seems to have more potential, gilchrist seems like a guy that would be satisfied being a 2nd or 3rd option in the NBA.

stanford hoopsBecause gilchrist dominates without being real
good at anything in particular. He has alot of room to grow skill wise yet dominates. Like seeing a player who shoots ok handles ok but outworks everyone and dominates. You think “wow this kid is kinda raw yet he is still the best player in the floor”0 - Posted on: Sat, 09/04/2010 - 7:17am #393725

I’m talking about in open gym, not a real game. I’ve hooped with Jeremiah the last two summers… I just hooped with him, Jason Gardner, Chris Thomas, Eddie Gill, Andre Owens and Zach Randolph a few days ago at the Monon here in Indy.
Austin is more talented/creative, but Jeremiah has similar quickness/first step and uses a lot of the same jab fakes/step backs. You can definitely tell they use the same trainer. He sets up his jumper similar to Austin. The problem is it doesn’t translate over to real games because he thinks too much and lacks confidence.
