jas225ParticipantFor all you fans that had your team pick in the Lottery in this most recent draft, did you want your team to draft who they drafted? If not, are you displeased with the choice, or are you ok with it?
For example, I am a pistons fan. The selection was Greg Monroe. I wanted Cousins but obviously he wasn’t available. So, I feel Monroe was the best value at the position of need.

WizardofOzParticipantEverybody knows I’m a Wizards fan, and I’m totally fine with the Wizards picking John Wall. He was the best prospect in the draft and IMO, will be the best player from the 2010 draft class.

jas225ParticipantIf i were a wizard fan, i would be totally fine also.
In fact, i would like to hear a wizard fan argument who would have wanted them to draft someone other than wall.

sheltwon3ParticipantLakers fan and I am happy with their draft where they got lottery talent in the second round.
New Orleans Hornet fan and I am happy that got Pointdexter and Brackins. Both players should be very solid and learn behind some quality veterans and Pointdexter could push Thornton to start at the 2

TyroberParticipantThunder fan. I was wanting the Thunder to move up and select Cole Adrich is was so excited to find out they did. I love the fact that they traded the 18th pick in Bledsoe to the Clippers for a future pick that will surely be higher than 18

sammybuckeye13ParticipantWanted them to draft a big man in a draft full of big men, when we knew we going to lose Boozer. Unless someone like Wes Johnson improbably slipped, I would have definitely settled for Ed Davis, Ekpe Udoh or even Cole Aldrich (knew Monroe would be gone at that point). On draft day after they took Hayward and I nearly choked on my own vomit I was telling my friends that the pick should’ve been Ed Davis, but in hindsight, seeing as how they very adequately replaced Boozer with Big Al, I would say the pick should’ve been Xavier Henry. The Jazz want/need to win now, because who knows how much Sloan has left in the tank (and who knows what DWill is thinking), and while Henry was just a freshman, he’s as NBA-ready as just about any rookie this year, with the strength and polished J of a veteran. Hayward is something of a project at this point; for someone with his experience, he simply has too many areas in which he needs to improve. Henry would’ve been a much better compliment to Williams in the backcourt long-term and even a better fit immediately despite his age.

JoeWolf1I really wanted James Anderson to land in Chicago. They made the trade for cap room which is okay, because I really like their current roster, but I really wanted Anderson in a Bulls uniform, he would have been a good fit.

cap777ParticipantI can’t say I’m disappointed with the outcome of the draft, I actually think they did pretty well. If I was drafting though instead of trading for Damion James I would of used my remaining two picks to draft all the young talent possible.
Imagine:
Derrick Favors
Hassan Whiteside
Devin Ebanks0 - Posted on: Fri, 08/20/2010 - 7:44pm #381268

jeff416ParticipantI like the Henry and Vasquez pick. I just wish the Grizzlies would sign them and pay the 120%.

llperezman, the lakers have not had a first rounder in the last 3 drafts. Their last first rounder was javvaris crittenton in 2007 and he got traded his rookie year before getting any real playing time.

Counting StarsParticipantJazz fan and I was assuming Greg Monroe would be gone, so I was hoping they’d draft Luke Babbitt. But I think Hayward can learn to be a very solid pro and if the Jazz see something in him, I believe he will turn out alright.

durantula83ParticipantI’m also a Bulls fan, and James Anderson would have been great. But we ended up trading away the pick and giving away Hinrich to clear cap room. The idea behind it was great, but we ended up with zero max free agents. All in all, we had a great summer, we got Boozer, Brewer, Korver, Watson, Bogans (nice defender but doesn’t add much else) and Asik (don’t have a clue how good he is or if he can contribute). Sacramento was lucky Cousins fell in their lap, he can become a 20-10 guy if he wants it enough.

I don’t mind Ed Davis, but I won’t lie, I kinda wanted Avery Bradley.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI’m happy with Favors and James. I think that Favors has a ton of potential and a great work ethic. James could have a very long career if he works hard on defense and develops a consistent 3-point shot.
With that being said, I’m kinda disappointed with our free-agent signings. Morrow, Petro, and Farmar are fine, but Travis Outlaw was our biggest signing. He and his consistent-three-point-shooting, underachieving-defender ass aren’t gonna lead us anywhere.

Winning_TimeParticipantI love Wes Johnson, other than that I wasn’t too happy. We got two big men and with all the confusion at PF I thought we could have chose like a good versitile G-F.
