Of all the guys drafted after the top 10 in the first round, who is most likely to be all rookie 1st team or ROY?

Well right now I think Wall and Griffin are probably going to be near locks for the team.

I would normally say a big such as Cole Aldrich but he would have a hard time getting in over a guy like Cousins.

Maybe Ed Davis, because he should be given a good opportunity in TO to succeed from the get go.

I’m gonna say Lance Stephenson. After Wall the rookie guards don’t look too strong this year. Turner does not look like he’s picking things up quickly and Xavier Henry still hasn’t signed. Lance has a good chance to make the all-rookie team if he can outplay teammate Paul George.

I like Aldrich as maybe an upset if cousins gets injured or something because if he plays well he will probably get alot of PT.
I like stephenson too but i feel like James Anderson in san antonio has a good shot if he can make himself a starter on that team. i could see him going for 15 points per depending how he shoots and Pop likes him enough to put him in the game

Either Ed Davis or Cole Aldrich, none have a chance to get ROY but both will get enough minutes to produce and both have a shot at getting 1st team rookie honors. Its safe to say John Wall is winning ROY so thats the end of that conversion, I think the only other person people thought would challenge him would be Evan Turner.. and well, yeah.. No… Wes Johnson has a shot, maybe even Demarcus Cousins but Wall in gonna play 35+ minutes a game, probably the most of any rookie so that already gives him a big advantage, not to mention John Wall is a beast

OMG, I totally forgot about Blake Griffin, coz you were talking about this years draft lol. But yeah, toss up between Griffin and Wall, but I still think Wall gets it. He is a position to get 35+ minutes each night, something I don’t think Blake will be getting until the later half of the season.

It’s hard for me to imagine Wall not making 1st team. Barring injury, the kid just has too much speed to not excel.

No way does Gordon Hayward make 1st team All-Rookie team lol. You really are a diehard Jazz fan my man. Hayward probably will play around 15 mpg next year, and he won’t have nearly that level of production. I think it’ll be:

    G: John Wall
    G: Evan Turner
    G: Lance Stephenson
    F: Blake Griffin
    C: DeMarcus Cousins

    2nd Team:

    G: Dominique Jones
    G: James Anderson
    F: Wesley Johnson
    F: Patrick Patterson
    C: Greg Monroe

No way does Evan Turner make All Rookie 1st Team you must be a 76ers fan huh? He sucked in the Summer League, I know that is no way to judge players, but I at least thought that he would be good against low competition. Anyway Gordon Hayward is going to average around 12 PPG, 4 RPG, and 2 APG. He is going to have an identical rookie year that Mike Miller had. He might not win ROY, but he will produce and maybe enough for All Rookie 1st Team.

I hope you guys know that the All-Rookie teams don’t have to have 2 guards, 2 forwards, and 1 center. There can be all guards o the rookie teams, like there were last year.

If you go by stats and the way he adjusted he’ll suck. But you’re right that’s no way to tell how a player will play. Evan Turner will start opening day and have a very strong rookie year. I expect 12 ppg 5 rpg and 3 apg next season from Turner. I’m a fan, but one thing you cannot say about me is that I’m biased.

And Gordon Hayward isn’t Mike Miller. He’s more like Francisco Garcia. I expect 5 ppg, 3 rpg, a 1 or 2 apg. He’s not going to average 12 ppg next season. Maybe in a season or 2 he will though, but not next season. I very seriously doubt it. He needs plays run for him to score like that, and I doubt that’ll happen for him as a rookie.

As much as i agree that Gordon Hayward wont make the All Rookie First team, and that he isnt a mike miller player. There is a good chance he will play more like 20 minutes per game. He will probably average like 7 or 8 points 3 rpg, and 2 ast. I dont see Hayward ever averaging more than 15 points per game on his career for sure. Jazz really could have done better with the 9th pick.

I’m not so sure that Evan Turner will make a great impact, especially if he’s not controlling the ball. He seems to get lost when he’s not running the point. He will get a lot of minutes and be a starter immediately, which by default will give him better stats than most rookies.

And James Anderson has tons of potential, I just don’t see him getting much playing time at all. They have such a solid core with Ginobili, Hill, Jefferson, I don’t see where he’s gonna get his minutes…I really like his upside though.

Just basing off of minutes they will play, I see the 1st team going like this…I don’t like Johnson, but I think he will play a lot of minutes, so he will get some numbers…Just not sold on Turner at this point…

    G: John Wall
    G: Lance Stephenson
    F: Wesley Johnson
    F: Blake Griffin
    C: DeMarcus Cousins
