    Per game stats:

    Turner: 9pts, 6rbs, 3asts, 2stl, 33% from the field, 100% from the line.

Aminu: 13pts, 6rbs, 1stl, 25% from the field, ten times as many turnovers as assists.

Babbitt: 11pts, 3rbs, 1ast, 46% from the field, 10% from three, 64% from the line, four times as many turnovers as assists

Johnson: 10pts, 1rbs, 1blk, infinity times as many turnovers as assists, 57% from the field.

Henry: Held out due to contract dispute.

    George: 15pts, 8rbs, 2ast, 2stl, 5 turnovers, 33% from the field, 12% from three.

    Hayward: 11pts, 3rbs, 1.5asts, 1stl, 1blk, 62% from the field, 94% from the line.

As you can see, Hayward produced just as much as everyone else, but far more efficiently. I’m not using Summer League to say he’s good, but everyone here was using the fact that he only played slightly better than every other wing in the draft as a proof that he was a bust. Blows my mind.

Anyone who declares anyone a bust at this point is stupid. Hayward will be just fine in Sloan’s system. It’s defensively where I worry.

This is all of Utah Jazz picks I could pull up from 10 years and there are some nice player but I am not impressed.

They have had some hits and misses.

They gave up on Mo Williams and Eric Maynor who may be better than Mo Williams.

They were horrible in drafting big men with Milsap being the exception.

They actually picked in some good spots for a few years and even years where they picked in the late 20’s there were player available that could have been picked that were better and some were on most NBA scouts radar but Utah must have overlooked them.

    Andrie Kirilenko
    Scott Paggett
    Deshawn Stevenson
    Raul Lopez
    Jarron Collins
    Curtis Borchardt
    Aleksandar Pavlovic
    Kirk Snyder
    Kris Humpries
    CJ Miles
    Robert Whaley
    Deron Williams
    Mo Williams
    Dee Brown
    Paul Milsap
    Ronnie Brewer
    Herbert Hill
    Morris Almond
    Ante Tomic
    Kousto Koufas
    Eric Maynor
    Goran Suttun

I did forget about him. Yeah, he had a great summer league and really exceeded my expectations.

Well he had an okay summer league, but I still have my doubts. There are plenty of players who have had great summer leagues but seem to disappear during the season, for example Brandan Wright. And Sheltwon, get your facts straight, the reason why Eric Mayner was traded away from Utah was to save money in order to possibly resign Booz this offseason not because we were not satisfied with his play. As a fan I loved watching him play and wish it was Ronnie Price instead of Maynor that was traded. And also some of the picks were later used in trades for earlier drafted picks, so in that sense they are not true Jazz picks(Herbert Hill and Robert Whaley) Yes, there are some players that Utah overlooked that should not have been overlooked but the last 3 or 4 years have been good draft years. Don’t sell Hayward short until the season and he does not impress. It is way too early to call 2010 draft picks a bust. Wait until the regular season hits.
    Some good utah picks
    Deron Williams
    Ronnie Brewer
Kyrlyo Fesenko (aquired in a draft day trade involving Herbert Hill)
Eric Maynor(he was good while he was in Utah, and he was not traded away because of dissatisfaction but to save money)
    Andrei Kirilenko
    CJ Miles
Ante Tomic(Trust me, once he comes over to the NBA, you will see what I mean.

Yeah I wish James had got more love. Williams and James on the wings in NJ will be a pretty solid combo in years to come.

Hayward also didn’t play as many minutes as those other players mentioned. He only averaged 21 minutes per game… Playing 20 minutes or less in 3/5 games. Utah wanted to evaluate everybody on their summer league roster.

dwill learn to read man and they did give up on him. They traded him to avoid luxury tax. They never had a shot at Boozer because they did not want to give him max money and he was going to get max money in this free agency. They traded a good point guard who can start for most teams to save money because they made some poor investments and still they don’t have Boozer.

They were able to get Jefferson with that trade exception though and his contract is cheaper.

Utah was dumb for overpaying Milsap then regulating him to bench status.

Don’t call me out on something because I know exactly what happen
