Chris Paul made a toast joking that he and Carmelo will be joining Amare in New York next year creating their own SuperTeam…I know the folks in Denver & New Orleans hate hearing that…

But if CP3,Carmelo did join Amare in New York..How would the Knicks do against Lebron,Wade,Bosh & the Heat?

I think Lebron & Wade are 2 of the top 3 of the players in the league.

But the Heat would lose if the Knicks added those 3 guys to their roster…

If they could get those players and not lose much of their young talent the edge would go to New York and even if not, New York would at least keep Gallo and Paul, Amare, and Melo better Compliment each other.

But it would be up to the rest of the roster. New York’s would presumably be better, but to think they would keep all of the pieces that supposedly made them an attractive young team to play for in the first place would be very presumptious. I also heard of the LONGSHOT possiblity of Chris Paul and Dwight Howard opting out of their deals in 2011-12 to go to OKC and play with Kevin Durant. If their was any possible way to keep Russell Westbrook in that scenario, that team would be ridiculously unfair (Though I know Russell’s desire is to play point, which would not happen with Chris Paul in town). But I think the better question than imaginary teams playing each other next year is what trio would you rather have? I think the answer is hands down Howard, Durant and Paul, as those players all bring something vastly different to the table as well as pretty much being significantly better defenders their predicted New York counterparts (though Paul vs. Paul might be up for debate). Do people actually think the Knicks will clear out the cap room to get this done next year? Chris Paul can not foreseeably leave New Orleans in anything but a trade until 2011-12, so unless New York offered a lot of their core young players (Gallinari, Chandler, which would signal New Orleans is down for a full-out rebuild), he is not going their before Melo is their for a year. So, I think the Miami thing, seeing that it has been completed, is a much better scenario to me than either New York or OKC. OKC at this point seems like a more sure bet than New York, as Kevin Durant appears to be better than anyone in the proposed NY trio and Russell Westbrook is turning into a star in his own right. They get one more solid All-Star level player, than they could be as good as anyone. The problem is, they have yet to figure out a way to get that done.

Here we go again with people saying that the Knicks are going to get two more superstars. The Knicks are not going to get Melo and cp3.

But if somehow this did happen, I think the Knicks would have a better record because they would each player would have one specific role just like Boston’s big 3. cp3 would be the one that runs the offense and will set others up, Melo would be the primary scorer, and Amare would be the low block scorer.

I don’t think Miami’s big 3 is going to work because Dwyane Wade and LeBron are both ball-dominant players so I don’t know how they will be able to share the ball.

If Paul and Melo went to the Knicks, the Knicks would win.

Don’t forget, when Paul was healthy he was the true MVP the year Kobe won it. And he had nearly poop on his team. If he had Melo and Amare to dish the ball to, that team would be two scoeres and a great big man. Remember with LeBron and Wade. In basketball, you play with only one ball

The Heat is the best trio and it’s not even close.

    LeBron > All 3
    Wade > All 3
    Bosh > Amare

    gimme the knicks.

melo, cp3 & amar’e are big in clutch time, and all have good range on a jumper.

by the way, could you imagine a cp3/amar’e pick n roll? unstoppable.
